    Tech vs U of H

by HouRaider on 9/7/21NRG Stadium - Houston

Great venue to watch a college football game. Atmosphere is always electric when these two teams hit the field - a long standing grudge match dating back to SWC days. Welcome to the Big 12 Houston. It won’t be easy.

    Good Sam’s KICKOFF Classic

by RandyS on 9/7/21NRG Stadium - Houston

The ticket process was seamless and my seat were awesome. The concession stands at NRG Stadium ran out of popcorn and the refilling stations were initially not turned on. It seemed like they were short of staff. The game was great and those that were there were very friendly. Overall, a great experience!

    That was fun

by DBKIRK on 9/17/19NRG Stadium - Houston

The city of Houston and the UH fans were very cordial and supportive of their team. They were also good sports during the game and after WSU won the game. The NRG stadium is layed out very well. The WSU COUGARS played an amazing game and should crash into the top ten soon.

    Had a great experience!!

by loveabee on 9/16/19NRG Stadium - Houston

It was a great experience. I am from Seattle (been in Houston for 12 years now) and am a WSU Coug fan. We even got tickets to move down to the 100 level!!!! Only problem we incurred was trying to find the Karbach TexFest....we asked 15 working the event where it was, as per the map we were given it showed it on the corner of Kirby and Westridge, so we walked all the way down to the corner of Kirby and 59 and nothing there. When we finally made it back to the stadium and checked in, low and behold, there it was right on the plaza. Workers should be informed of all events before the day of so they can give accurate guidance to attendees!

    Enjoyable Outing, But Disappointing Attendance

by worldgriz on 9/4/18NRG Stadium - Houston

This was my 4th Advocare Texas Kickoff game, and the least attended. Disappointed to see the upper 2 sections of NRG sStadium empty, along with empty sections in the remainder of the stadium. Not sure if it was due to the 2 teams invited to participate, price of tickets, Hurricane Harvey hangover, or something else. Despite this, there was good enthusiasm. Venue is good. I like getting to see teams I might otherwise not see perform live. Would like to see efforts to improve the quality of the participants to improve attendance. I'm biased, but think this game should be well attended. Houston has demonstrated it can and will support good sports products.

Game and facilities were great but there was a bit of a problem with the included meal. The tickets included pizza and a drink. We went to get ours with 4 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter and didn't get back to our seats until 6 minutes into the 3rd quarter. We missed all of halftime standing in line waiting for pizza. We were in line behind 5 people and watched 3 times as a cart with pizza was delivered to the concession stand only to be told only 5 pizzas were brought and other people in a different line were served first. It's hard to complain about free pizza but I would have bought something else if I had known how poorly the food service had been planned. The number of tickets sold that included food were not a mystery to the venue. It was just frustrating to have to wait so long.
