Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 13 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally. As one of the most buzzed about comedians in the business, Rife has been selling-out comedy clubs and theaters across the country and is gearing up to embark on his biggest tour to-date with Live Nation, the Matt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour, kicking off on July 20th.
Rife brings forth his refreshingly genuine presence along with elevated material that is quick witted and vulnerable. From a small town near Columbus Ohio, Matt started performing at the age of fifteen then moved out to Los Angeles two years later where he began his career in Hollywood.
In addition to stand-up, he made his television debut on MTV's Wild 'N Out as the youngest cast member in history for four seasons before moving on to other MTV properties, such as hosting the reboot of TRL and appearing on The Challenge. Other credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh Off The Boat, BET's North Of The 10, and NBC's comedy competition show Bring The Funny.
In 2021, Rife self-produced and distributed through YouTube his first one-hour comedy special, "Only Fans". This past April, the comedian bet on himself again and self-released his highly anticipated second stand-up special, "Matthew Steven Rife" on YouTube. The special was taped in Austin, TX and is dedicated to his biggest role model, his grandfather Steven who had recently passed. He'll be taping his third stand-up special this fall in Washington, DC.
I had a great time. It was everything I hoped it would be.
Awesome show! The opener was also great. I'll see Rife again!
Hair salons are ground zero to get information out, but when you say Matt Rife and one of the leaders of the group goes Nat Life.....well that just has to change. Tonight (after flashing your pic around) all the ladies will be scouring social media to hear and SEE you. Ya need a few one liners (think old knock knock jokes or Oliver & Hardy) so they're memorable and repeatable. Even though they were super busy the shampoo girls were already checking you out!Every clip feels like a performance in a supper club..... a super intimate feel. Magical! High praise for working your craft. Can't wait to see you in that toddling town and have locals & tourists just lose their minds. As always break a leg. You're channeling Redd Fox, Robin Williams and Don Rickles. Rather buy a ticket and see you than eat! OMG Tween PaPaw & his new 7 buddies you can relax and just let loose. As always break a leg . You are priceless.
His opening acts were great, especially the second opener. Matt Rife put on such a good show that we will definitely see him again when he comes back to Seattle.
I had a great time! Matt Rife is hilarious and I can hardly wait until I see him again! Got to meet him…really nice guy! It was a great night!
The venue was extremely hot and not much crowd interaction as we thought! Still super good though .
I actually was so hyped for this event bought during presale a year in advance. I was kinda surprised, it felt like he was holding back (not normal Matt stuff) . Anyways it was still a good show laughed a had a good time . Had a lil higher expectations after watching the Netflix series.
Not only were all the comedians absolutely hilarious, the staff did an excellent job making sure everyone enjoyed the experience. Always love the Paramount. Looking for the next time Matt Rife comes to town.
Bad audio, couldn’t hear him for the most part. He had no content prepared and just wanted to get by on audience work and it was really boring. Saw atleast 30% of the audience leave in between. Will not attend his live show again, he’s better on 30 second reels.
Matt Rife is a must see if you are not a person to get easily offended. He is funny when you don't take the jokes to heart, he's out for a laugh not to offend people. His show was very engaging and even his crew was funny! Everyone there had a great time and was laughing at all his jokes. His crowd work is some of his best work and very quick witted.
