    Glass half empty

by Dr. Dip on 5/28/24Town Hall - New York

Sorry, but to have a 1 hour break in addition to the other breaks in this 4+ hour concert is too much time wasted. We left after the first part (and so did several others) of this torturous minimalist Emperor’s New Clothes non-music performance.

    Amazing

by Carolyn on 5/28/24Town Hall - New York

This was a totally immersive experience as promised and I was riveted from start to finish. I am awed by the strength and focus of the performers.

Took me 60 years to finally hear this work.

by Danfurn on 5/28/24Town Hall - New York

I bought Parts 1&2 when the album first came out, but it was decades before I heard the complete recording. Hearing it live (despite a few technical difficulties) was amazing. A little perspective for us old folks. If I had gone to Town Hall when this was first performed, and attended another 50th anniversary concert that year (1974) it might have been Rhapsody in Blue... The OGE made the most of the night with an excellent performance!

    Unable to relate

by Kened on 5/28/24Town Hall - New York

I like Philip Glass in general but this concert was too loud for my wife and me. The variations in the compositions were too subtle for us and unpleasant to listen to. We left at the dinner break.

    Historical

by Matt on 5/28/24Town Hall - New York

Longer than I was expecting, but fittingly appropriate for this historicalevent in musicoligy.

    The worst performance

by Mahdi on 5/28/24Town Hall - New York

That was absolutely the worst music performance I’ve ever seen in my life and I couldn’t see a single sign of art in it.

minimalist genius. infinite universe of talent.

by GlassDream on 5/28/24Town Hall - New York

not much to tell ironically... got the day wrong! too far to return the next day to listen to the mesmerizing dream of minor chords and minimal Glass melodies that i'd been looking forward to for months! Glass is greater than a 5 star creator.

    Uncomfortable

by tim on 9/24/19Orpheum Theatre - Boston

The Orpheum is very uncomfortable. The seating is like a stress position. The sound quality was absolutely awful. The performance was very good, but it was very difficult to enjoy.

Wonderful to see Philip Glass, again. Bring him back for a performance of Satygraha!

Overhang not noted at time of sale

    by wyatt80 on 9/23/19Orpheum Theatre - Boston

Our seats (row Y in the orchestra section) came with an overhang such that the top part of the screen was not visible. That is a significant problem when you are paying to see a film. There was no warning that the seats presented an obstructed view. Inexcusable!
