    Zucchero - Amazing

by SwissGirl5 on 4/8/14Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Zucchero is one of the best singers in the world. It's a shame that he's not more well known in this country. If you have a chance to see him perform do not miss it. You won't be sorry.

Zucchero in concert: Amazing as always

by Fpseasun on 4/8/14Balboa Theatre - San Diego

His voice. His charisma. He hasn't changed a bit. With age, he only gets better. His music is so beautiful. Loved the concert and the venue.

Amazing performer - Zucchero with his crew

by totati on 4/8/14Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Beautiful music sang with a great deep, guttural voice. I've seen him last time here in SD at the House of Blues when I loved his performance, but this one was even better. The rhythms were amazing, tune after tune! He is a superb artist. I also want to commend the theatre's personnel that were very tough on enforcing "no phone pictures" rule. People are very disrespectful, but here they were behaving, making it better for everybody to have a pleasant experience.

    Drummer was Great!

by ItalianByAncestry on 4/8/14Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Besides the fact that Zucchero didn't even greet the audience until half-way through the concert, we spent so much time trying to SEE that it took away from our enjoyment. The stage lighting was awful. We never saw Zucchero's face! Between the darkness and his hat, our group joked that he either joined the witness protection program, was using a double and didn't want us to know, or he had stage fright. The stage was so dark that the tiniest of lights (like the seat lights on the aisle) were a distraction the whole time. Then every so often, the lights would go up and flash on the audience, totally throwing our eyes off again. The drummer, lead and bass guitarists were amazing (and mostly visible), but we were so frustrated by the dark stage and Zucchero's lack of audience engagement that we left before the encore. We'll stick to his CD -- the live performance wasn't worth it.

    Bellissimo as always!

by Califia80 on 4/8/14Balboa Theatre - San Diego

LOVED IT! It's my 3rd time (one in Treviso, Italy and one at the House of Blues a few years ago) and as usual he doesn't disappoint! Had a lot of fun and luckily we have been able to stand up and dance as we were planning!

    So glad we went!

by ZuccheroFAN on 4/8/14Balboa Theatre - San Diego

If you know his music, there is nothing to be said. The man is brilliant. His voice is as clear, yet as rough as ever. He hasn't lost a note. The show was fun! There were our ten tix plus 4 others purchased in our group.......18 to 67. Zucchero's music shines for all ages! Hoping it won't be long between visits. Come back soon!

It was a great show! The only negative thing was the acoustic that wasn't perfect.

A good mix of ballads and hard rock, in both Italian and English.

    Zucchero

by KAKK on 11/4/11Berklee Performance Center - Boston

Zucchero and his band were in great form after finishing up their US tour in Boston. Since the stage was smaller than most venues the encore eliminated the piano being on stage that occurred in NYC. Also the acoustics were not adjusted properly and the sound was distorted a bit. But considering the bad weather that night the crowd was responsive and everyone was glad to hear him perform the new songs from Chocabeck CD

SWEET just like his name ZUCCHERO!

by suamadre on 11/3/11Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood,

Zucchero appeared out of the darkness of the stage to the boisterous applause from all of his admirers. As he started singing the crowd quieted down. They listened to him as he sat in a large red velvet chair. He sang accompanied by his guitar and surrounded by a small group of musicians. I was captivated by his singing style, and by his mysterious Spanish style fedora that somewhat blocked his face from me. He mesmerized the audience with his songs and instrumental talents, the guitar and the piano. He encouraged us to stand up and boogie to the rhythm of his music. The crowd went wild dancing in their seats, singing along and totally involved in the show. This was my first opportunity to see Zucchero in person. I would just LOVE to see him again when he returns to Collingswood. But, if I ever get the opportunity to travel to Italy again, I hope I am able to see him perform there too.

Zucchero Must See Next time in Boston

by Prata on 11/1/11Berklee Performance Center - Boston

Zucchero's music transends language barriers and it moves the soul. I understand very few words in Italian enough to get the general mean and the lyrics are beautiful. The set was great...soft mellow songs and then upbeat dance songs. So much fun! Can't wait to see him again. This is the second time that I have seen him in Boston.

    Zucchero keeps on amazing me

by Sapori on 10/31/11Scottish Rite Auditorium - Collingswood

I have seen Zucchero several times both in the US and in Italy. I am happy he tours the US so that the Italian community here in the US has a chance of enjoying him performing live without having to fly to Italy for it. Great performance, two hours of genuine talent!!! Keep the Blues playing!!! Bravo.....

Zucchero; a Demon or a Hero?

by WallyGmonstah on 10/31/11Berklee Performance Center - Boston

Zucchero performed his last NA tour here in Boston on a stormy Saturday at the Berklee Performance Center (my favorite place to catch solid muscianship) to a fairly packed audience, oblivious to the impending rare October snowstorm set to hit the northeast. With the audience filled with the north end's Italian love lost crooners seeking some taste of the homeland, as well as an eclectic mix of music lovers, Zucchero did not disappoint in his 105 minute set, the majority of which was sung in Italian much to the delight of the above mentioned Italian Americans in support of his latest CD. In the lobby, Zucchero's CD was available in ENGLISH as well as the Italian release, a treat to listen to the English translation after being romanced in Italian throughout the evening.. If you missed it Zucchero promised to return in the Spring....

    Zucchero was Incredible.

by Vacquiero on 10/31/11Berklee Performance Center - Boston

It was the best concert I have attended in recent memory. He had complete control of the crowd. His two hour performance was exhausting. The Berklee Performance Center is an outstanding venue. Zucchero is a master showman and he gives you the impression that he loves to perform and he loves Boston. It was like we were invited to a party at Zucchero's house and he asked some friends to join him in performing for us. This wasn't the first time I have seen him perform and it won't be the last.
