This band nails the Rush songs, and Rocky Kuner's voice is perfect for their music. Their strength is in their original songs written by guitarist Billy Alexander. It feels like a band that has all the puzzle pieces to break big. There is a vacuum created in music without Rush, and this band fills it for us. Melody, lyrics and musicianship. Rush fans rejoice!
Discovered them on Youtube. Saw them for the first time at the Agoura Canyon Club this past September. Then again for this reviewed concert at the Santa Clarita Canyon Club. They played so well and the crowd responded in kind. The love I had for Rush, is now the love for YYNOT. Their Rush covers are the best with Rocky Kuner's voice perfect for the music. The originals have the same Rush style emphasis on melody, lyrics and musicianship. Will see them anytime they play in the Los Angeles area.
Band was AWESOME as aways. There were some some sound issues throughout the night. I am not sure if it was the venues issues or the "roady" had issues. Still had a GREAT TIME!.
The employees were helpful, friendly, Hot day that day, Air conditioning was perfect, Really enjoyed myself and drove a long way to get there
YYNOT started with Bastille Day, and played 2.5 hours of Rush songs and originals. They had to overcome some technical issues with the house, but did, and put on a great show. They have two albums out of originals, and one to be issued soon. Check out Youtube for "Hourglass", "Bully", or "Kingdom Come" Rocky Kunar is one of the best singers I have heard in a long time, and Billy Alexander (guitar), Tim Starace (bass), and drummer Mike Hetzel rocked. This is THE best Rush tribute band. If you want to hear Rush songs done right, and Rush-influenced originals, they have another show at the Canyon Club in Santa Clarita, CA this November 13th, 2021. I will be there.
YYNOT is essentially a Rush tribute band. Comprised of seasoned musicians with a charming ingenue on vocals. I loved the song selection! A nice mixture of classic Rush songs and I believe they played one original song; there may have been two but I recall only one specifically. Songs like Bastille Day, Freewill, Anthem, Limelight, and the Rush signature tune 2112 thundered in the intimate setting. The drummer Joel was remarkably crisp and impressed me very much. Billy on guitar and Tim on bass reproduced those classic songs flawlessly. Vocalist Rocky was decked out in a gorgeous cocktail dress. Her understated presence and shy demeanor stole my heart and I was soon leading chants of "Rocky! Rocky!". A good time was had by all. I saw my old Merritt Island friends and was reminded of Rush concerts from days of yore. We are not as thin as we were although our hair may be. We have limps, scars, and divorces but the spirit of those days remains and bands like YYNOT bring it all back home.
Do not miss this band. More than worth the twenty dollars i paid. You will NOT be dissapointed. ROcky Rules...and Tim the bass player was amazing. Billy, the guitarist was spot and, and played with an intense force. The drummer didnt miss a beat, and held my attention the entire night. I couldn't help but stay for a photo op afterwards. Believe me, this band will blow you away.

YYNOT's show was literally impeccable. They do an amazing job of performing Rush music fantastically in addition to many of their own original songs that in ways are even better than Rush. The Drummer, Bassist, Guitarist and Vocalist all are true professionals that obviously take a tremendous amount of pride in their craft. Every tune and transition was smooth, clean, clear, and acoustically sound. The sound itself was awesome. You could be anywhere in the venue and enjoy great sound. I was up front near stage, on the side, in back, and wherever I was, I was mesmerized in great sound produced by the band, not the venue. This production was not kidding around. YYNOT's originals are simply beautiful. Rocky, the vocalist, performs flawlessly adding a true Rush dimension to upbeat songs about life, love, lessons and reality. I highly recommend YYNOT as an artist overall and you definitely do not want to miss their next show. The band also comes out to greet every fan who wants a photo, a handshake, a hug or a signature. They care about their fans in a big way. Great people.
Highly recommend this group for the fine old tunes from RUSH. They are spot on, tight, to the point, accurate, and makes you think and feel they are the real deal!!! Awesome time by all!!! Check them out on You Tube, no disappointment here!!!
YYNOT is not to be missed! Spot on versions of Rush songs and very tasty originals. The musicians are top notch and the crowd in Fl. Was on their feet all night!
