Canadian alternative rockers Your Favorite Enemies fuse emo and shoegaze influences to concoct a vibrant sound all their own. At their live shows the band turns swirling sonic textures into a rock ‘n’ roll circus with dueling guitarists Jeff Beaulieu and Sef running around the stage as they trade off searing leads. The two combine pounding power chords and experimental sonic layering to make every song a grandiose thrill ride. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Your Favorite Enemies formed in Drummondville, Quebec in 2006 around a shared love of bands like The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, and The Mars Volta. With a diehard DIY ethos, the group immediately founded their own label Hopefully Tragedy Records in 2007. They released their debut album Love Is a Promise Whispering Goodbye on the label a year later, while also embarking on several international tours that helped them build a worldwide following. The band experienced a breakthrough in 2013 with their fourth full-length album Between Illness and Migration, which debuted at No. 2 on the iTunes Chart. The album’s first single “I Just Want You to Know” was chosen as the Big Shiny New Song of the Week by Jason Rockman of Slaves on Dope and subsequently received heavy rotation on Canadian alternative stations. Following this success, the band has continued to play festivals and benefits as they build on their devoted global fanbase.
