Yngwie Malmsteen House Of Blues Cleveland

by ZEKE316shredder on 5/1/13House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

For over 35 years Yngwie Malmsteen has amazed people with his guitar playing ability, defiantly a true virtuoso of guitar players! As the first show of his U.S. tour it did have a few problems with sound and finding what guitar went with what song.

    Ethan Brosh was Amazing

    by robinsry22 on 5/1/13Wilbur Theatre - Boston

While I have great respect for Yngwie's talent as a guitar player, I have never been super excited by his songs and song writing. I really went to this show to see Ethan Brosh's band (the opening act). Ethan is a fantastic player with great tone and an ability to tell a story with his instrumental music. I highly recommend folks get to the show in time to see Ethan's band open. You will be introduced to an excellent guitarist.

Fantastic. Yngwie has so much talent that you just watch in awe. It was unlike any other concert I have attended. It is like all other guitarists have earthly limitations that Yngwie does not. The band arrived late and did not have time to do a proper sound check. They had to stop playing a few times to get the sound right. But even out of tune it was still better than anything I have ever witnessed. The show was cut short due to time limitations which really sucked. But for a $30 dollar ticket, how can you complain? I am planning to tell everyone I know to take a look at Yngwie. It is possible that he is improving with age. The opening band was pretty good. I wanted to take a look at their music after the show. However they need to go to Marketing 101. They never said their name. I asked 3 groups of people around me what their name was and they had no idea. I asked the worker who told me that they arrived late and she had no idea who they were. We ended up laughing at how stupid they were. How are you going to get fans if no one knows who you are? I will see Yngwie again if he plays within 150 miles of my home. I would like to see the opening act again, but I have no idea who the hell they were.

Yngwie ROCKS !!!! Once again ...

by Rrisbest on 5/1/13Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Yngwie Malmsteen was AMAZING !!!!! He still gives 110% of himself into his performance !!! No one left disappointed !!! His playing was as good if not BETTER... than when I saw him open for Ozzy in the early eighties !!!! A true bargain at the price of $40.00 per ticket !!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEEING HIM !!!!!

Venue was great acoustically. Drink prices were obscene. Malmsteen is a tremendous talent. Never have I seen a bigger prima donna on stage. He was over the top rude throughout the show to his roadie over some technical things going on (that really didn't affect the quality of what the audience was hearing). And 90% of the stage was devoted to him, with 10% of the stage housing his drummer, keyboard/singer, and bass player. I would give him zero stars except he is technically such a gifted and amazing guitar player it wouldn't be fair. I won't be supporting him in the future.

    never die!

by Yngwiebba on 2/28/13Irving Plaza - New York City

I've seen his concert at Toronto, Chicago, a few times in New York City. Everytime I see his concert, I just say "wow"...and understand why audiences don't do moshing, headbanging, surfing over people, stage diving, or whatever cause his playing is soooo stunning that people doesn't want to lose any moment from doing those act. Also, the guitar tone that he makes is the heavist tone ever. His tone is more roaring and heavier, deeper, louder than any other rock, heavy metal bands or any other guitar maestros. Especially if you are Fender Stratocaster owner, don't miss his live.

    Yngwie does not disappoint.

by Glaucus on 12/13/11Northern Lights - Clifton Park

There is not too much to say about Yngwie aside from that he is phenomenal. I had expected it all to be a bit over the top with his playing, but I did not expect the presence that he brought to the stage as well! I was surprised and quite pleased with the whole night, and now I can say that I was able to witness a true expert at guitar at work.

    Yngwie is Relentless

by tat2dbluedonkey on 11/19/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Yngwie's latest album is appropriately titled! And the show lives up to the hype! Yngwie is more than just a guitar god; he is a composer, a true musician, and he rules the stage. The Ripper's vocals compliment YJM very well, but doesn't outshine the master! Hey, we all really came to see the master! If you aren't an Yngwie fan yet, you'll be a die-hard once you see him live!

    Time to hang it up

by Urartu on 11/8/11Nokia - Los Angeles

I USED to love and respect what this guy does, but it's has gone stale about 25 years ago... there's no progress in anything this guys does... he was crucial during those two first records but then he got stuck in a timewarp - same tunes, same clothes, same sound, same direction...of course we could say the same about AC/Dc but somehow they are more fun than this guitar-shredding Elvis with long hair. Sold the tickets, did not go, but I'd heard it was BORING.

    Cool place

by nachomiami on 11/7/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

I liked the place, it's not too big, has the stage, an area in front of it and then a couple of bars around it, so you can watch the show from the bars or whatever you want. The show was fantastic, Yngwie played songs from most of his albums, not just the last one. I was so close, I felt I could reach him with my hand, if you see the attached photo that I took with my cell, you can imagine it. The sound was loud, my ears are still tingling. I recommend using ear protectors, I forgot mine.

    Yngwie Who?

by KatManDo33 on 11/7/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

See him or risk not seeing the most unbelievable entertainer and shredder alive today! He is completely awesome and unless you've seen hm before, you haven't seen anything like it. I've been to four G3 shows and one with Yngwie. Seeing him on his own is a special treat. He is a technical machine and pure entertainer.

by rockndave on 11/2/11Club Nokia - Los Angeles

Got there on time and got as close as I could. Yngwie can on stage around 9:30 and played until almost midnight. He played his new and old favorite hits, he was awesome to see.
