About

With his ubiquitous 2010 hit “Toot It and Boot It,” rapper YG established himself as one of hip hop’s biggest rising talents. Born Keenan Jackson in 1990, YG released his first mixtape at just 18, quickly garnering a large internet following with songs like “She A Model” and “Aim Me” and attracting the attention of Def Jam execs, who signed him to the label in 2009. After being featured on the CTE World mixtape Boss Yo Life Up Gang in 2013, YG announced that his upcoming full-length debut would be produced by rapper Young Jeezy. “My Nigga” was released as the lead single to the album in September of 2013, reaching No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marking his most successful single to date. In addition to a string of mixtapes released between 2008 and 2013, YG runs his own streetwear label 4Hunnid and his own record label Pu$haz Ink. On tour in 2013 with acts like TYGA and Yo Gotti, YG has earned a reputation among ticket buyers for a stage presence that belies his young age, fueling anticipation for his upcoming live concerts and the 2014 release of his debut full-length My Krazy Life.

    Disappointed

by PMoreno on 9/16/15Rabobank Theater and Convention Center - Bakersfield

In the end he performed well, but that was after waiting 4 hours for him to show up. He finally showed up after midnight. The entire show was stalled by ridiculous no name performers and just music playing as if we were in a club. I was disappointed in the amount of time he performed as well. Maybe 35 minutes. It was not worth the money I paid.

    YG keeps it 400!!!!

by Anonymous on 5/29/14Hard Rock Cafe - Las Vegas

So I had a bad experience watching him the first time because he is known for taking forever to come out and perform. He does not follow the show time listed on tickets, thats for sure! Being aware of this, I still decided to go catch him in Vegas, and left to the concert at 11 pm. Doors for the venue opened at 8pm. I got to the concert around 11:30 walking down the strip, and surely..he was still not on stage. At midnight on the dot, he hit the stage! He's GREAT!!!!! I was really close to the stage also because a lot of people were by the bar. It really just depends on the venue, because the riverside show was not good at all. He was really cool with the crowd, and had everyone dancing, I would def love to watch him again at good venue like this!

I could not miss YG's My Krazy Life Tour, but I couldnt get sold out tickets for LA, so I decided to go to Riverside! IT WAS THE WORST! We stood in line for about an hour, to get in the auditorium, then another 3 hour wait for DJ Mustard to come out. He was really cool, but only was there for 30 minutes. All the guys were shooting water guns when it was so musty, everyone was fighting and there was no type of space/ no air conditioning. Then YG finally gets on stage like at 10:30, and performed for a little over an hour probably. He was too drunk, so he performed two songs sitting in a chair. Depsite the wait, and the overcrowding.. he does do a great show. I decided to give him a second chance, so 4 days later I decided to catch him in Vegas at the Hard Rock Cafe sold out concert and it was so great. Complete different experience!!

YG was a no show at the meet and greet.

by thekinglion on 5/26/14House of Blues Sunset Strip - West Hollywood

You should not sell meet and greet packages if it is going to get cancelled. Cause that is a total waste of money and time. People work hard for the money to buy such an expensive ticket and if the meet and greet is not going to happen then do not promote or sell that type of ticket. The people who bought that ticket I think deserve a refund.

Meet & Greet - No show

by Markesha on 5/26/14House of Blues Sunset Strip - West Hollywood

The concert itself was good; however, the wait was ridiculous. Showtime was at 9 but YG didn't come out until 12pm. I purchased the VIP package that was supposed to include a Meet &Greet and a t-shirt. The people that purchased the Meet &Greet were told to go to a specific area after the concert was over. We waited for maybe 15-20 minutes only to be told that YG left. One security guard announced that YG was not feeling well. This statement was not true. First of all, YG just performed and appeared to be doing just fine. The real reason YG left was because he had a club appearance in Pico Rivera. At this time it was already 1:30 am. Had YG stayed and fulfilled his Meet& Greet commitment, he would have missed his club appearance, which he successfully made it to in time to perform 3 songs.

The show was amazing!!! Packed house, and everybody was rocking to the music. Was kind of irritated he didn't come out until 12am...BUT....when he did you forgot how long you had to wait to see YG. I'm so happy I got to see him perform because I missed him perform 2 previous times.

It was amazing. YG got the crowd going! I would go watch YG 400 again. The only thing was some of his songs were short due to features.

    YG Fo Hunnid!!

by Leeroy704 on 4/25/14The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

YG put on a pretty good show. He is headlining his own tour for the first time so he was able to put down an entire set list. I'm not sure why but the venue was not close to sold out which suprised me, considering YG just dropped his debut album. Nevertheless, the energy level was pretty high. He performed for a solid hr and a half, doing essentially the entire My Krazy Life album as well as some of his more popular older material. After the show he was at the Merch table and was willing to take a photo with anyone provided that you bought something - his security was not playin around about that. I would recommend anyone going to this, especially given the price and the fact that some other venues are getting special guests to open.
