BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Dutch DJ trio Yellow Claw originated in 2010 from a weekly Amsterdam party of the same name thrown by Bizzey (Leo Roelandschap), Nizzle (Nils Rondhuis), and Jim Aasgier (Jim Taihuttu). After building a reputation with their off-the-wall club nights the three began releasing tracks, making their way onto charts in the Netherlands and Belgium in 2012 with bangers like "Krokobil" and "Nooit Meer Slapen". In 2013 they released their debut EP Amsterdam Trap Music on Diplo's Mad Decent label, garnering significant international attention with high-profile performances at BBC Radio 1 and Tomorrowland Festival. A string of popular EPs followed including a release on Yellow Claw's own label Barong Family, and in 2015 the trio released their highly anticipated debut album Blood For Mercy. The record peaked at No. 27 in the Netherlands and spawned several popular singles that have fans dying to catch one of Yellow Claw's adrenaline-filled sets on tour.
I have liked YC for sometime and seen them before. Perhaps it was the smaller darker venues in the past and later heavier sets, but this felt a little slow. The light show / video was very repetitive and not tied very well to the music. It was also very bright (so the BGA) felt much brighter than is preferable. Overall the sound was solid and they were pretty engaged but I would still only give it 5/10.
You can never go wrong with yellowclaw. I brought a couple of friends who raced for the first time and they were not disaappointed. Would go again
Music was awesome with my friends but the visual production was weak when compared with other insomniac events. WEAK!

Everyone was so excited for them for them on Halloween at BBOO, and i had just got into EDM with Yellowclaw as my favorite with their album, In the Room. They were the last acts and ended up playing mediocre stuff, maybe even worse than the openers. The only good thing they played was a sneak peek of their new single then, Love and War. Hopefully they'll make up for it at the next show at Bill Graham in San Francisco on Sept 22nd.

I had a blast!!! Me and a few friends saw Yellow Claw and the set was simply amazing! Danced the whole set and I was legit...BEST RAVE DJ'S IN THE WORLD.........YMFC
The best night of my life. Ill be going back pretty soon. The atmosphere was electric, the djs were amazing and yellow claw blow my mind.
