Saw Yakov this week in Branson. Such a good family show!! We loved it!!!
I have been wanting to see Yakov Smirnoff perform since he first came to the US. I would have loved to have heard him do his nightclub act that focused mostly on Russian/American jokes, but his new focus works well, and I understand we have to adapt for our audiences. His jokes were so much nicer than the typical F-word comedian nowadays. What a relief. And he is totally pro-American--another relief! Bravo.
Yakov was great! Good clean adult fun! Nice background media presentation. Theater staff were pleasant and helpful.
The best up close and personal show I've been to and I've seen lots of shows in my life. . . .
Was laughing throughout the whole show. Will go again if he returns next year.
Yakov Smirnoff was great! He really is a humorist rather than a stand-up comedian.
Yakov did not disappoint. The performance was fresh and timely, touching and hysterically funny. Wit, patriotism, and wisdom were the core of his performance. Yakov connected with his audience heart to heart at the outset and held us all in the palm of his expert hand for 90 minutes. It was a college psych course, a marriage counseling session, and a love letter all rolled into one. Can't wait to see him again!
Yakov was so funny. His show was very enjoyable and spanned his life experiences. And who knew he was an artist, too? He also met with the crowd after the show to sign his dvd and pose for photographs. A real gentleman! And as always, the Rialto was so gorgeous. My husband and I travel to downtown Chicago for plays, shows and concerts. We think the Rialto in Joliet is the most beautiful venue in the Chicagoland area.
Yakov was very entertaining. He kept us laughing the whole time!
Yakov was entertaining and inspirational. Understated and hilarious!
