    The reason XPN is music.

by rudedog53 on 7/30/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

As in the past, XPN again brought together an eclectic group of musicians for three days of tunes, fun, good food, & wonderful people. The staff & all of the vendors were courteous & helpful. My hat off to all who worked to make this a fabulous experience.

    exceptional three day festival

by Gratefulmatt on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

First off let me say that you need to become a member of WXPN to reap all of the benefits that this festival has to offer. Two of the best perks are the 1/2 price tickets or free depending on the size of your donation, and the artist meet and greets. This is such a fan friendly festival that I was like a giddy little school girl meeting some of my favorite artists. The headliners were also exceptional as Gary Clark Jr melted faces just before the hurricane called the Alabama Shakes came out and blew everyone away. The following night was a ho down and then some when Old Crow Medicine Show had the entire audience dancing the night away before Brandi Carlyle swooned our hearts. This was my third year in a row and as long as I'm alive I will return every year after.

    AWESOME MUSIC ---- BRUTAL WEATHER

by mj133 on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

There were lots of super memorable moments, great music. The Weather was brutal and I don't understand why this event needs to be held in July. The heat and humidity are completely predictable. The thunderstorm that had us all running for cover on Saturday afternoon was potentially as dangerous, and as predictable, as the heat.

Alabama Shakes blew me away like no other band

by SistersB on 7/27/16BB&T Pavilion (Formerly Susquehanna) - Camden

I felt like I was transported back in time to when the Music was old time blues and Brittany Howard sings with such soul that I could FEEL her pain and emotions. She's like a mix of Janis/Aretha/Odetta. Few women are so powerful and willing to bear they soul so completely as she. And the rest of the band makes it all so emotionally real. The lyrics are strong and relatable, some up and fun, others so sad I was moved to tears. Gary C Clark, Jr plays the blues like the old timers - Muddy Waters, BB King, Buddy Guy. Guitar solos that you don't want to end.

    An amazing weekend!!

by OldHippieBill on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

The WXPN team did an amazing job of organizing the music weekend!! The entire lineup was also amazing! Almost every detail of the festival weekend seemed to be well thought out and was executed in a stellar fashion! The XPN staff, the volunteers, the sponsors, the Camden County folks and (not to be forgotten) the musicians are to be congratulated! The parking lot location on day one was a bit inconvenient. It seemed like the furtherist lot from the venue was designated at the XPN lot?? Whoever decides that part of things might want to rethink that part next year? The BB&T Pavilion is staffed by polite individuals. They do their job, I’m sure, as instructed. When Old Hippie Bill buys a premium seat he hopes to sit. When folks stand up in front there is no flexibility to move to a seat where one can sit and watch the show. BB&T needs to accommodate concert goers who wish to sit. Overall, though, I’m ready to go back again! Thanks!!

    #xpnfest #awesome

by Sandi5176 on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

Another great festival! OK - the weather could have been better! SO HOT! And then the rainstorm! BUT we all survived and had a great time! So many great musical performances! All the staff and volunteers really worked hard to see that all the attendees had good time!

Music was too hot to handle!!

by Mamaryan on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

I've been an XPN member for ages and this was my upteenth festival! An amazing experience, as expected. I've never been disappointed by the musical choices at the festival, but I'm hoping that Fr. John Misty will not be asked to attend again. That being said I dont know what I enjoyed more: the ambience, the people, the music or the venue itself. It was great to see old friends from past festivals and to add more to my FB familiy. LOVED to see the metamorphous of the mural throughout the 3 days...very cool!!!

We were not happy with the festival. We wanted to go on sat to see Felce Brothers, David Wax and Josh Ritter. We got tickets for Saturday for $35 each. We saw two Felice Brothers songs before the PA had problems. Then the concert was rained out during the first song of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Two of the three acts we came to see did not go on, and the one that did only played two songs. The PA issue is not acceptable. Yes, you cannot change the weather, but you could offer refunds or at least make the ticket good for the next day. We were very disappointed.

    Great music & great venue

by waldlaw on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

I attended the Friday and Saturday sessions and had a great time! Lot's of great music and only one performer - the Preservation Hall Jazz Band - had I seen before. Alabama Shakes were my favorite, but also loved Gary Clarke Jr, Ryan Adams, the Suffers, the Revivalists and The Record Company. Only negatives were the violent storm late Saturday afternoon and the Father John Misty non-performance - very unfair to the audience. The venue was great and the food was diverse and reasonably priced.

    Exponentially fantastic

by CAD1 on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

Always a great 3 day festival that my husband and I look forward every year at the end of July. Very well organized and family friendly with an awesome array of artists from all genres of music from very well known acts such as the great Mavis Staples this year to obscure up and coming artists. It was especially hot this year, but they take care of you, as they do every year with misting tents. Some problems this year, weather being one with a very heavy thunderstorm, but the weather you cannot control. They had to stop the concert hoping it would quickly pass over, but in the end, 3 acts had to be cancelled including Josh Ritter. Before the storm, the concert was also stopped due to sound problems during The Felice Brothers set. Turns out it was generator problems and another backup one had to be brought it. It was pretty cool of The Felice Brothers to go out in the crowd and play unplugged.Low point, and this has never happened before, artist Father John Misty came on and ranted in a tirade full with the F Bomb every 5 seconds it seemed. He was booed and jeered and did only 3 songs, said he had no more, and walked off stage with another half hour to go. Needless to say, we learned that he will never ever be invited back and I doubt the station will ever play his music again. All in all, artists and the crowd always loves this festival.

    Venue vs act

by PJMcG on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

Show was great - thanks to the artists. - Once you enter, you can't leave the venue. Yes, this seems like a ridiculous rule, and I'm not really sure what it accomplishes. - Ridiculously overpriced beers. I pad $7 for a DogFish Head beer at the XPNFest, and then walked to the BB&T to find that the same beer was $16!!! - No enforcement of the "no high back chair" rule clearly posted on the website.

    WXPN does an amazing job

by xpnmember on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

WXPN really cares about its members and creates a weekend festival (in Wiggins Park) that is not commercial, friendly and high energy. Members always get free water and drinks but it was nice that they set up water stations for non members too. They are always great about trying to make the experience better.

Great show, but poor venue :(

by Cwanders on 7/27/16BB&T Pavilion (Formerly Susquehanna) - Camden

Excellent performers!!!! However, the venue was hard to get to, and had poor lines of sight to the performers (annoying security lady stood in the way 90% of the show). When I tried to move further back so I could see (80% of seats near me were empty she told me I had to move back to my seat, even though no one ever sat in that seat). If security is going to stand through whole show, please train them to be respectful or don't sell the seats they impact. If it had been a customer standing, she would have told them to sit down. Unnecessarily disrespectful... Further, both times I went to the restroom my seat was taken upon return (1st row), seems like security was selective on their enforcement too :( I definitely will NOT return to this venue, my first and last time!!!

    XPN IS THE BEST. PERIOD.

by Briankiz on 7/27/16XPoNential Music Festival - Camden

WXPN in Philadelphia is the best radio station and their festivals ever year have been can't miss events since day one. Even with the heat and weather, everything about XPoNential Music Festival was great. Can't wait till next year!

This was easily one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Double headliner as far as I am concerned. Venue had everything you need and bathroom lines weren't absurd. All in all a success. Parking attendants could have been a little more helpful.

Talent was hotter than the weather

by ALiveMusicJunky on 7/26/16Wiggins Waterfront Park - Camden

Can't beat the talent for the money at this festival, and it was well worth it to splurge on the BBC to get seats inside for the night time shows
