About

WYNONNA IN CONCERT:

Country icon Wynonna Judd has been cranking out No. 1 hits since the '80s, and three decades later she sounds as vibrant as ever with her band The Big Noise. Wynonna made her debut with The Big Noise in 2011, and since then the group has wowed critics and fans alike with their passionate performances of her classic hits and new tunes like "Love it Out Loud". With tender ballads like "Come Some Rainy Day", rollicking tunes like "Girls With Guitars", and highly personal anecdotes from the grande dame herself, Wynonna and The Big Noise have something for everyone on their exhilarating live tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Wynonna rose to fame in the early '80s performing with her mother Naomi in the legendary country duo the Judds. Between 1984-1991 the mother-daughter pair released three No. 1 albums and fourteen No. 1 singles, and by the time Wynona launched her solo career in the early '90s she was already country music royalty. Her self-titled 1992 debut album topped the country charts, as did its first three singles "She Is His Only Need", "I Saw the Light", and "No One Else On Earth". Three more Top 5 country albums followed in the decade, establishing her as one of the genre's most influential and revered artists. Her success continued in the '00s with the chart-topping 2003 album What the World Needs Now is Love and the genre-spanning 2009 album Sing: Chapter 1, which spawned her first hit on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. A veteran performer with enough charm and charisma to fill even the biggest amphitheater, Wynona continues to dazzle on perennial tours with her band The Big Noise.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Wynonna was amazing!! She was funny and energetic pouring everything she had into every song. Her version of Foreigners "I Want To Know What Love Is" was powerful and brought me to tears."

"Wow, the new arrangement of old favorites, especially 'I Know Where I'm Going', are phenomenal! The energy level is through the roof & vocal performance is stellar!"

"How can you not love Wynonna!!! Sassy, sexy, smooth, silky voice!! She rocked the house and put energy in my soul. My husband, a non-country music guy, even loved her."

    Loved the Magnolia

    by K. C. on 2/12/20The Magnolia - El Cajon

The opening was a bit weak, rather unimpressive. Wynonna made the night! Absolutely loved the venue! The Magnolia is a must do again! Not a bad seat in the house.

    Good not great

by TerryC on 2/11/20The Magnolia - El Cajon

Concert started on time at 8 with a band playing for 40 minutes. (Wynonna didn’t come on until 9pm) There was not explanation who the band was, if they were an opening band or even who they were. After a long time the drummer finally exclaimed they were The Big Noise. The drummer was amazing but all the vocals were soft and not great. People started yelling “Wynonna” and wanted her to come on (finally). The drummer proclaimed they were going to perform for 40 minutes even if Wynonna came out right then. I felt it was presumptuous of them to assume we understood what was happening. I never saw anywhere that said there would be an opening band, only Wynonna. There was a love-fest on stage continually between Wynonna and her drummer husband, which I felt was inappropriate, and she didn’t play that much of her older music, very few of the popular hits. Lots of banter between Wynonna and her husband, which I felt was inappropriate. We wanted to hear the music. While I realize she felt she should showcase her husband and his band, I personally felt it was gratuitous. I felt ticket holders should have been made aware that she wouldn’t be performing until 9pm. I do want to say the music was enjoyable and musicians talented. Wynonna still has her wonderfully powerful voice.

    Too Much Band

by KO on 2/11/20The Magnolia - El Cajon

Wynonna's voice is stunningly beautiful. The band, however, was too loud and over-shadowed her performance. Their 45 min. "pre-Wy" performance was also too loud (the acoustics at the venue?) A major annoyance for me personally was the rude audience. Why must people shout things like, "We love you!" right in the middle of personal comments by an artist....ironic at best.

    Bait and Switch

by JB on 2/9/20The Fillmore - San Francisco

Bought tix because of the billing Wynonna and the Big Noise. Instead got half Wynonna. Other half was Cass somebody. He had no stage presence and sang out of key. Painful. And you get what you get with Bob Weir. Rambling guitar and mediocre singing. Left early. Not fair to ticket buyers to treat a large portion of the concert as a wing it rehearsal.

    Wynona and the Big Noise

by Di on 2/5/20The Cave - Big Bear Lake

This concert was amazing! Her voice is captivating. I have never seen Wynona in concert and now am a huge fan as well as the other 3 people I attended with. Would go to see her again in a heartbeat. When the Big Noise opened, my husband was thrilled with the drummer, he has always had a passion for those who master the art of a great drum performance. All around, the show was awesome. I wish the whole world would embrace her song "Love Can Build a Bridge" - the lyrics contain great advice. If you get the chance to catch her with The Big Noise, go - you will not be disappointed.

    The Cave

by J. on 2/4/20The Cave - Big Bear Lake

Wynona was great and so was The Big Noise.....despite their bass guitarist having a heart attack earlier in the day. Stressful for them and the stand in bass guy who rocked!

First time at this venue. For thr disabled, it was perfect! First time to see Wynonna in concert. She was fantastic! Small venue, every seat a great seat, so she could be up close to crowd. She was very personal and made the crowd feel her show was personal. Loved the songs she chose to sing. Her husbands band opened and they were awesome too. I would go see her again at this venue. My husband really enjoyed her in concert too. So glad we went!

In the middle of the A section

by JR. on 1/27/20Suquamish Clearwater Casino Event Center - Suquamish

Well, I'd have say that it wasn't all that good. The seating was very poor with little or no views to the stage. The big screen is almost the same as watching a performance at home on the TV. Really lacked the visual interaction with the performers. If you have the unfortunate luck of having a group in front of you that has no consideration of those behind them, you're basically there to hear but not see what's happening even if that's only on the big screen. Since when does the audience have to endure the selfies and guitar signing when we paid to see a show? Also, even though some may want to hear about the life of the performer, I was there to hear her songs and listen to the music.

    Wynonna still rocks!

by Queenie on 1/27/20Suquamish Clearwater Casino Event Center - Suquamish

Loved Wy and the Big Noise. The venue is intimate and every seat is a winner. Stage was totally accessible, so people kept going up for selfies while Wy was singing (rude). Loved the concert and venue, annoyed at people’s rudeness...
