    Fun Night

by StevF on 12/28/12Joe Louis Arena - Detroit

Overall, a fun night. Only negative was when they were attempting to set up the final match - which was a cage match. They had trouble with the set-up and after 25 minutes of trying, they decided to take down and do without ..... too long of a delay.

    Way to mail it in

by showstunk on 12/28/12Joe Louis Arena - Detroit

Things started off poor with a 3 on 3 match that had 3 of the biggest stars we came to see and instead of seeing something fresh they repeated a match almost exactly as it happened a few weeks ago on TV. Why did I buy tickets to watch something I already saw in HD from the comfort of my living room? We were looking forward to the big explosions and pyro, what happened? Most of the matches were dull as if the guys were going through the motions to get it over with. There were no suprises except a song which I could have gone without and a steel cage which they failed to pull off. The final match was also lack luster. Both of my kids asked why John Cena was laying down for most of the match. I get this may have been the three hundreth show of the year but this was our first... it sucked. I would have loved to purchase a couple of shirts, now I am very glad I didn't, but the vendors were mostly out of kids sizes, chaotic to say the least, and the lines were way too long. We made the best of it so my kids would enjoy themselves. All in all we spent about $500.00 in tickets, parking, and food for 4 and would have spent more on tee shirts if it wasn't such a cluster... It will be a long time before we attend another WWE event. (Oh yeah, I also feel like a fool for buying two video games, action figures, wrestling buddies, and dvd'd over the past year. My kids are 8 and 3 and I think I will be moving them on to something else in the near future.

They do a great job of engaging the crowd. Big names were in attendance, my kids loved it.

We had a GREAT time. The seats were amazing, the show was fantastic. I hope we can go back in April! Only bad thing was we never received our tickets in the mail and I had to transfer them into my husbands name in order to print them from the computer, The day before the event, it was cutting it kinda close!

Show was Ok but have seen better.

by RedBird3 on 12/28/12Joe Louis Arena - Detroit

1st half of the show was pretty good but for some reason after the break things got a little slow. Then they couldn't get the steel cage put together so they improvised with a street fight match that was a little slow. Big fan of the WWE but this wasn't one of their best productions.

The show was a disappoint especially considering what we paid for tickets. The live event lacked the excitment and the atmosphere portrayed on television. There were none of the pyrotechnics or big entrances for the wrestlers. Really the event could have been staged in a high school gym. The crew couldn't get the cage set-up for the cage match so they just didn't have the match. This meant we didn't even get to see three of the headlining wrestlers - CM Punk, Kane and Ryback. It would have been nice if they would have at least made an appearance. It is not very likely that we will attend another WWE event.

    It was just ok....very fake!

by BigDB on 12/28/12Joe Louis Arena - Detroit

My 13 year old son enjoyed it but even he said, "Wow, this is really fake!" As an adult, I found it REALLY cheezy! My son was very disappointed that they couldn't get the cage to work and thus, no cage match, as promised. I would have thought they would have worked this stuff out prior to the match but apparently not. I don't think I would go back to another one and I think my son is in the same boat. Lets face it, we all knew going into it that it was fake wrestling but some of it was really bad (e.g. fake head butts that weren't even close and punches that were not even close). My son and I can both say we've done it now but I think my son will be watching his fake wrestling on TV from now on.

    WWE Holiday Tour

by PixieJones on 12/28/12Joe Louis Arena - Detroit

There was no camera crew there. So you could not watch it on the televisions above the ring. With people standing up in front of us and no TVs to watch it on we missed most of the show.

    Bad Weather

by JLB123456 on 12/28/12Joe Louis Arena - Detroit

Everything was great except they had the steel cage match first. We were coming from out of town and hit bad weather and missed it. They should save the best matches for last!

by Thollins12 on 12/28/12Joe Louis Arena - Detroit

This was nothing like I expected. I actually had a great time even though I dislike wrestling, my 11 year old daughter and 6 year old son had a blast and it was very exciting. I LOVED IT!!!!
