  • State Tournament

by Brent on 4/6/25Rating: 4 out of 5

Always love attending the state tournament - have went every year since 2001. I do with the ushers would check tickets before fans go into the reserved sections. Gets tiresome having to chase people from your seats all week. Most are nice and move - had a couple though that refused to move until the usher had to get involved.

  • Games

by Mark on 3/27/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 4 out of 5

I have been to a few state championship basketball games before. The home and away fans had distinct areas to sit. It was not so this year in Charleston. This subtracted from the enjoyment of the event. Other than that, I enjoyed the outcome of the AAA game.

  • Great venue!

by Rhonda on 3/25/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Traveled more than 3 hours to watch Wheeling Central’s Maroon Knights win the state basketball championship. Beautiful day, very nice (clean!) convention center, friendly staff and workers - my grandson and I had an amazing, exciting time.

No complaints. Great customer service. Staff was able to help in any way.

  • Coliseum Entrance

by Hoops Fan on 3/22/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 4 out of 5

Very much enjoy basketball tournament every year. However, I don't understand why I can't enter on the side from the parking garage with the walkway. I am not handicapped, yet, but those steps in the main lobby are so bad on my back. Why can't that door be opened so I can enter through the lounge side of the building?

  • Fix it

by WV Native and basketball enthusiast on 3/21/25Rating: 2 out of 5

I only left a review so I could echo the sentiments of the first review. WV doesn't need 4 classes and please do something to fix the current state of quality programs in the state. Make changes that actually benefit and encourage better training.

  • A Shame

by bigoldballer on 3/19/24Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 2 out of 5

It's a shame WV has gone to 4 classes. Basketball has fallen so far in the last 30 years in WV. The game can't stand much more. There was no one there for the entire tourney! Of course the hotels gouging for all they can get and no place to eat in Charleston doesn't help either. Not sure I'll come back after attending fpor the last 32 years.
