World of Dance on Tour

A celebration of NBC's hit reality competition World of Dance, the tour of the same name commemorates each season with a showcase of contestants from that year. Appearing onstage alongside heavy hitters in dance-competition circles, the high-energy show gives World of Dance contestants the opportunity to show audiences why they were selected to compete on network TV. The routines, style and choreography will leave you breathless — and excited about the next season's raw talent.

World of Dance Background

Since 2008, the World of Dance enterprise has been the world's premier source for dance entertainment, holding competitions around the globe that showcase talented dancers of all ages. In 2017, NBC premiered the Jennifer Lopez–hosted reality competition World of Dance, which pits juniors (dancers under 17), soloists and teams against each other as they vie for a million-dollar prize. A three-person judge/mentor panel, on which Lopez is joined by R&B singer Ne-Yo and Dancing With the Stars hoofer Derek Hough, scores each competitor as they move in sync to modern hits and classic floor-fillers. Alums of the show have competed on other televised dance competitions like So You Think You Can Dance? and America's Best Dance Crew, while first-season winners Larry and Laurent Nicolas Bourgeois, collectively known as Les Twins, brought their new style hip-hop moves to the stage alongside Beyoncé before and after competing on the show. Other dancers made appearances on Lopez's 2019 It's My Party tour, surprising audiences with their sleek choreography.

World of Dance embarked on its first tour in 2017, after the show's first season lit up the ratings books. Since then, stars from each season have hit the road after the winners' crowning, performing intricate, high-energy routines that dazzle audiences with their innovation and unparalleled talent. World of Dance looks spectacular on television, but live, it truly comes into its own.

This exceeded my expectations! It was a great experience. The dancers were really easy to talk to during meet and greet. The show was phenomenal.

See it LIVE to appreciate it!

by Starlilies on 10/12/18Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

World of Dance was truly amazing! Seeing all the artists dancing together as well as solo made the experience truly unforgettable! VERY different from watching it on TV - from the energy of the crowd to the amazing dance routines - made this completely worthwhile! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    They put on a show

by AADoubles on 10/9/18Warner Theatre - Washington

The choreography was great and the interaction between groups and individuals showcased the dance style diversity. There wasn't much crowd interaction but overall, good show to watch.

    World of Dance Rocked!

by JIMJMD on 10/8/18Warner Theatre - Washington

The WORLD OF DANCE 2018 tour was just a fantastic night out! All the acts, particularly Michael Dameski and Jaxon WIllard were standouts! I also loved seeing Charity and Andres live as they are so magical. All in all, the entire night was incredible and everyone was on point. The one slight criticism is that no one needed to speak. The introductions seemed a bit forced. These folks are dancers, not actors and so just let them perform and don't try to have them make banter with the audience. Can't wait for the next tour!

by MammaDrama on 10/8/18Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

My 11yr old daughter and I went to this show, since it was only the 2 of us, I splurged on better seats, it was so worth it, it was amazing seeing them on TV, but even more amazing seeing them up close! I would definitely go to another tour!!

World of Dance Tour! Where was the Champion?

by NewFanz on 10/8/18Warner Theatre - Washington

The tour was very entertaining, however I was looking forward to watching the champions live. If they were not participating, it should’ve been announced in advanced.

    Fabulous show, lighting wasn't great

    by vsharp6708 on 10/8/18Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

The performance was outstanding! Such a great show. The only disappointment was the lighting. We were in the balcony and were blinded by lights for several minutes at a time, causing us to miss some of the dances.

by LadyjkMe on 10/8/18Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

This performance was awesome!! The dancers are truly amazing! The music, lighting and background videos kept the audience pumped the entire show. There were fans of all ages and it made for the perfect Mom-daughter outing with my tween. Highly recommended fun!

    WOD = WOW

by VBNas on 10/8/18Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

Fun from beginning to end. The dancers really put on a show. Nearly all of our favorites from season 2 were there. Our city “sold out” of tickets quickly and the atmosphere was great! Would recommend for all. Great variety of ages present.

Great performance, we all enjoyed it! Wished more of the big groups from the show could have been there! But it was great regardless!

    WOD was breath taking!

by PEStewart on 10/8/18Warner Theatre - Washington

The beautiful and somewhat intimate Warner Theatre Venue was a marvelous backdrop for the incredible dancing we were able to experience at the WOD performance. Charity and Andre; Michael and Jaxon were beyond -- pretty much anything. :)

    Too Short!

by Moano on 10/8/18Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

This was a fabulous performance! The lighting design in a few numbers flashed into the aduicence from behind the dancers blinding the audience from watching the dancers legs. A few times the set lighting from behind the dancers upstaged the dancers. THE DANCERS WERE DEVINE.

Go see So You Think... instead

by impossibletochoose on 4/8/18Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

I enjoyed the television show, but the live performance was not as much fun as the live show for So You Think You Can Dance. And there's not telling who will be on the tour for this outfit. I'll put my dance performance dollars towards SYTYCD instead.

World Of Dance: Best Dance Event I Have Ever Seen!

by Moderndancelover167 on 11/29/17City National Civic - San Jose

World Of Dance was absolutely fantastic! It even tops the already great SYTYCD tour. The dancing was the highest caliber of modern dance talent assembled anywhere at any time. The show was seamless with no time between performances, so one dance flowed into another, so every moment was filled with what I came to see, amazing quality dance. The staging and lighting was excellent. A really nice unexpected treat was that for those of us who arrived early, there were three local dance groups who performed, which were very fun to watch. The San Jose National City Civic venue was very good, with viewing being excellent from everywhere. My thanks to the organizers and Jennifer Lopez for putting together this amazing event.

    World of Dance

by GAMM1 on 11/27/17Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

High energy. Amazing body movement. One fella in the male dance troup with the braided hair that busted out flips & floor spinning was exceptional.

World of Dance was even better in person!

by WODFan on 11/27/17Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

Took my daughter to this show and it was definitely worth the money. We had come to enjoy watching the television show together, but actually seeing the various performers on stage in person was incredible. What skill they each possess. I would highly recommend it. My teenaged daughter could not stop smiling.
