    Great performance

by Yiska on 10/23/13Webster Hall - New York

Despite the hours of standing still and waiting for the performances, I have to say that the overall experience was a very enjoyable one. The opening act with Thomas Azier was surprisingly great for such a newcomer: his powerful voice and 80's style beats energized the crowd which is crucial for setting the tone for the rest of the night. I have never heard this artist before, but after hearing him sing, he will surely gain a lot of attention in the U.S. if he continued to tour. The night began wonderfully, and ended just the same. Listening to Woodkid's Golden Age album via non-live platforms gives one the impression that everything sounds a bit too similar. However, his live performance was on a whole new level. He knows what he likes, and you can tell through his use of stage lighting, colors, background projections and general musical aesthetics. He did not waste time buttering up the crowd inbetween songs with sentimental babble, which was much appreciated. The music was loud, his voice was clear, and I hope that one day he can get a full orchestra. It was a great night, and I will definitely recommend this to a friend.

I had been waiting just over two years to see Woodkid live and it finally happened. It was incredible. He is everything I can ask for in an artist. Amazing voice, and great production. The show was exactly what I needed and more. Just ugh, I love him.

The best show of my life

by SamuelBi on 10/20/13Métropolis - Montreal

I saw many shows, but this one was the best and here's why. Musically very impressive they were 14 on stage playing. The songs are amazing. The light show was very well executed. The video animations were very well done. The sound man mixed the show like I have never heard before, the mix was perfect. And Yoann Lemoine would just be the perfect element to fit in this perfect blend. The atmosphere was electrified. Everything I look for in a show was there to the Woodkid show, making it, the best show of my life.

Moving, emotional, stunning, unforgettable. I've never felt Webster Hall's floor vibrate this much from EVERYONE in the room jumping.

Woodkid was spectacular but it felt kind of short.

by Tom1234567910 on 10/18/13Webster Hall - New York

The concert started off with Thomas Azier which is a synth and vocal singer which was very amazing but the crowd seemed to be there for only Woodkid. There were a lot of New York Socialites there and the venue was mostly 20 somethings. The atmosphere was tight and filled with people. The stage was small but Woodkid still owned every song, almost identical to live recordings, many members of the audience praised his vocal prowess and the theatrical songs and transitions throughout his show. It was theatrical. The show was definitely worth the 30 bucks and gave woodkid some confidence to come back for an encore, he did all the famous songs but not every single one of the album songs. In my opinion he played every song I liked from the album. He dances along and orchestrates the band and it's quite the spectacle. Other than that it wasn't anything too extraordinary but it was very very great for the cost. Thanks wood kid, I'm pretty sure your parisian concerts are much much much more grand.

    Magic

by Melnikova on 10/18/13Webster Hall - New York

This is for sure the best concert I've attended to this year. Forget RiRi, Shakira, etc. This guy has so much potential, his emotions are so true.. If I could- I would go every day to listen to him.

Woodkid was great but opening act was death

by FrenchGoer on 5/10/13The Fonda Theatre - Hollywood

I am not sure what the deal is of having midweek events that list a start time of 8:00PM that actually start at 9:15PM... Problem with the new format is Woodkid never got on stage until 10:15... when you get up at 5:00AM the next morning it means you have to leave before the end of the show. Which is too bad because he was good. The opening act "the shoes" was crap... basically two djs spinning for a full hour ... did not sign up for going to a club, came to see live music... thought I was going to shoot myself

by JeffreyWhatever on 5/10/13The Fonda Theatre - Hollywood

His voice is amazing. His band is spot on. and it was clear that the graphics expert himself was behind the show's visuals. Definitely worth the price of admission.

    Don't miss Woodkid

by HollywoodMusicFan on 5/10/13The Fonda Theatre - Hollywood

Incredible show. Combines theater and music in a fantastic event. The lighting was especially good... synchronized in a cool way. Orchestration and humor. Bring earplugs though... v loud.
