WOLF ALICE IN CONCERT:
British indie rockers Wolf Alice marry dreamy pop melodies to psychedelic sonic textures to create a complex yet catchy sound that is sure to fascinate audiences. At the band’s live shows singer Ellie Rowsell alternates between singsong verses and screamed choruses to brilliantly enact her impassioned lyrics. With their cranked amplifiers and well-orchestrated blasts of feedback, the rest of the band matches every emotional twist and turn the singer conjures. While these aggressive elements are part of their calling card, they maintain a controlled vibe with composed loud-quiet dynamics and group harmonies that give songs like “Moaning Lisa Smile” a surprisingly sweet edge. As Wolf Alice hits the road to promote their 2015 debut My Love Is Cool, ticket buyers will be treated to an up-and-coming band that is poised to take over the alternative music scene.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Wolf Alice formed in 2010 around core members singer/guitarist Ellie Rowsell and guitarist Joff Oddie, eventually growing to include drummer Joey Amey and bassist Theo Ellis. Things rapidly picked up for the North London quintet in 2012 when their digital single “Leaving You” received considerable radio play on BBC Radio 1 and a mention in NME’s Radar section. Their first physical single “Fluffy” arrived in 2013 followed later that year by their debut EP Blush. The releases garnered praise from several respected news outlets such as The Observer and Clash, and in 2014 Wolf Alice was named the Best Breakthrough Artist at the UK Festival Awards. In early 2015 the group released the single “Giant Peach” off their forthcoming full-length debut My Love Is Cool, whetting fans’ appetites for the album’s July release.
Throughout their career, Wolf Alice have drawn massive crowds of fans, packing venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre and The Fillmore to capacity.

5th time seeing Wolf Alice and what a show! They are playing better than ever as they grow as a band. Still amazrd as to why thete are not ad big in US as back in England. A must see gig! 👌
Amazing talented singer with a very tight band ! Pure perfection !! Great evening out enjoying raw talent . Thank You Wolf Alice !!!
Headline says it all really poor showing Mediocre
Wolf Alice is one of those bands that can play any type of song well. Even though their career is only 3 albums deep, they have plenty of awesome material in their catalog to fill a show. They had the crowd rocking from the very beginning until the end, only taking their foot off the gas to play one of their more stripped down songs that had me captivated as well. I had been a fan of this band for about a year and a half prior to seeing this show, and I came out of that venue with an experience I’ll never forget. Love the band, and Newport Music Hall in Columbus was a great place to see a show.
great venue, sound was very good and band was amazing
One of the best shows I’ve ever experienced. Band sounded amazing and gave a great performance. Got to meet all of them after the show aswell, and all were very pleasant people. Absolutely love them as artists and people!
This show was so awesome. An hour and 20 minutes of their best stuff spanning 3 albums. My love for this band continues to grow, would for sure see them again if they come back to the states.
Bands started a little later than the slotted "8pm on the dot" sort of thing, but that wasn't a make-or-break. The opening band, The Blossom, sounded great (better than the spotify recordings) and got the crowd woken up for the main attraction. This is the second time we've seen Wolf Alice live in Los Angeles. They've put on phenomenal shows both times. Tight setlists, excellent lighting and timing, and the band are clearly having as much fun as those of us in the crowds. Love it!
Wolf Alice was amazing from start to finish! The opener was terrible. Ashley Simpson in a dolly dress! The Blossom aka The Booooo were using tracks the whole time. Not backing tracks like most bands use these days, the drummer was the only one playing for real. I don’t mind tracks for things like synth pads and extra percussion but when the lead singer isn’t even singing for real what’s the point? If it weren’t for the opening blasphemy I would’ve given the show 5 stars. Wolf Alice were stellar!
Wolf Alice performed amazingly. Their energy and vibes are strong. The sound and lights were perfect. So good i had to see both Thursdays and Fridays performance.
Wolf Alice is one of my favorite bands to have emerged in the last ten years or so and they did not disappoint - such an incredible range of songs. I enjoyed the first show so much that I tried to get tickets to see them perform the next night, but the shows were sold out (and for good reason - they’re a great band).
I was so excited since I've been listening to them for the last 3 years and finally had a chance to go see them live!!! They rocked and jammed hard. Energy was great and of course the music as well. Unfortunately, the venue sound system was not up to par. It wasn't done well and it was just loud. The sound engineer is supposed to make their music come alive but i felt like it was done poorly which butchered their music as well as ellie's voice.
Wolf Alice is SO amazing live! I would see them again and again and again!
Stage presence, crowd control, the best vibes. I can't wait to see them again live!
Wolf Alice is a great band! The opener The Big Pink was good as well! If they had another band to play in between, the show would have been better. Otherwise, catch them while you can!
great band w great variety of songs & unapologetic, in ur face, rock’n’roll !
The show was incredible, it was exactly what I wanted and more, the venue is rather small so it's quite loud, I was right next to the stage in the seated area so it was especially intense (I recommend ear protection, which I did not have, oh well) Both bands were fantastic and I had a blast
Loved the show, the group is fantastic. We were a group of four and enjoyed the night.
Brilliant Show! I was front row due to my Decibel Club Membership! This my second time seeing Wolf Alice in the past year! I saw them at The Basement Columbus earlier this year, also front row! Love Wolf Alice!
