    by Tropikitty2 on 8/9/12Wild Bills - Duluth

From the opening band ( The Athens Band) to the last note of "Madalaine", these guys rocked ! It had been many, many years since I'd seen them, but they still sounded awesome. Thanks for a fabulous Flash Back evening !

The venue was nice. Large, plenty of security, close to restaurants and hotels. The opening band Athens was very good and Winger did a great job.

    Winger

by yougetit on 8/6/12Wild Bills - Duluth

They played the hits, had great contact with the crowd , He was not presumptuous as many Rockers can be, Winger should have Played at a different Venue in Atlanta. Wild Bills Sound System is weak and muddy sounding compared to other venues in Atlanta, Even some of the Bars around Atlanta have better sounding Sound systems, Sixxes and The Athens Band, opened the show, Sixxes very off the Chart The Athens Band Stunk, they should not have been on the same stage as Winger, The hype for the athen band is huge the band itself is awful, The mix didnt help much, It seams that Atlanta area engineers just dont get it, and When Sixxes played the vocalist kicked everyones ass and the band was killer tight, the crowd just looked at them, when the Athens played, I was embarrased for them the performance was aweful and the crowd love them, I dont get Atlanta, You support crap and then step on talent.

Winger at BB King's NYC Rocked!!!!!

by MadMaxx on 7/11/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Winger at BB's was just amazing! They were once again just as incredible live as they are on CD! Kip was on top of his game with his vocal range and Bass playing. John and Reb's chemistry was phenomenal, and Rod's Drumming was beyond belief! All in all an amazing live act and well worth the trip into Manhattan to see them!

    Winger Still Rocks!

    by Jman1234 on 6/28/10Grizzly Rose - Denver

Was a great show. Both bands are getting up there in age, but are just as good as they were back in the day, if not better. Was still amazed by Reb Beach guitar playing!

I was very happy to see April Wine but I was disappointed when they ruined "I Like to Rock" with a medly of songs. Booo!!!

    Winger is back!

    by MajorTom2112 on 6/28/10Grizzly Rose - Denver

This concert, along with the new album, show how Winger is back! (April Wine, on the other hand, just wasn't interesting at all to me - probably the wrong band to pair with Winger, although the 80s pre-band was good)

Winger, as always, was great, although they didn't come on until after 11:00 p.m. I'm so glad I stayed to see them. April Wine, in my opinion, was a waste of time. I really have no complaints about the music, but the people who attend these events need to look at themselves in a mirror. There's nothing worse than a bunch of 40-50 year olds trying to dress and acting like they're 20 again. Get over it! And why is it that when most of us had tables & chairs to sit at, everyone stands up? Some of us are not tall enough to see over you guys. It would've been nicer to be able to sit and watch the show than to have to stand on my tip-toes all night and try to see it between the tall, drunk, dancing fools.

    April Wine should have headlined

by bocman on 6/26/10Grizzly Rose - Denver

Good show except for the fact that April Wine should have been the headliner not Winger. While Winger was better than expected, April wine has been around a lot longer and probably has more radio hits

    What incredible musicians!

by JWigs on 6/26/10Grizzly Rose - Denver

An absolutely amazing show! I had never seen Winger before. They are all incredibly talented musicians and played one of the tightest shows I've ever seen. Better live than on the CD. And it's obvious they really love getting in front of an audience and playing. I won't ever miss them again if they come to town.

    A very LONG evening

    by Bluesgirl44 on 6/26/10Grizzly Rose - Denver

While April Wine provided a very good set and still sound very good after all these years, I can't exactly say the same about Winger. Was very unimpressed w/his new songs. While he did play a good mix of his older songs, he's not hitting some of his notes anymore. The most disappointing part of the evening was the local band that opened- Long Shot? Not sure why that had to be because Winger didn't even go on until 11pm. Oh well!

Didn't play much of first album

by KimberlyGNewYork on 6/21/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I was somewhat disappointed because they went more than half of a short set before playing any songs from their first album (or many songs that anyone would recognize for that matter). Kip still has his voice, but he's a little indulgent. Fans want to hear the hits - sorry.
