Enh, I liked the actual 80s better.

by NotaHappyHipHopper on 3/21/17Arie Crown Theater - Chicago

I attended the 80s concert at the Arie Crown. A few of the acts could have stayed home and continued their retirement, such as Cherelle, Hi-5 and Al B. Sure. My problem was that because of the large amount of acts, each one had such limited time that it was incredibly rushed. It would have been nice to have a smaller show and allowed them to really take you back to the 80s, or as close as they could get you. My husband and I enjoyed seeing a few of the acts, but could have done without the few I listed.

Dougie Fresh and Slick Rick... All day!!

by Veebaby on 3/21/17Arie Crown Theater - Chicago

The concert was good, however Cherelle, Fantastic 5 and Al B Sure need to retire. They gave horrible performances, Al B Sure didn't even sing his own songs, he had some lady with him singing.. Horrible!!! However... On with the Show,,, Big Daddy Cane was all that, he still got it, I mean his flow is outstanding STILL...I cant say enough about Dougie and Slick Rick... Excellent performances had the entire Audience out their seats and just ROCKIN' with it!!! Oh and Force MD's was cool with singing "Love is a House". But to wrap this up (no pun intended) Seeing Dougie, Big Daddy and Slick Rick made every dime I spent on my ticket worth it!!

Back 2 the 80's was awesome!

by equator on 3/10/17BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

I really enjoyed this show. The music brought SO many memories. All the acts were really good. Once the crowd warmed up, it was on!! The only thing I didn't like was Cherelle singing along to the song track. I know she said her voice was tired but I still wanted to hear her voice. She is amazing and still looks incredible. Big Daddy Kane, Whodini, and Doug E. Fresh really had the crowd jumping!!

Nice trip down memory lane. All of the acts were great, except for Cherrelle. The concert picked up after her.

This was one of the most exciting concerts I have been to in several years. The music and transition from artist to artist was great. They kept the crowd involved. We barely sat down the entire time!

Back 2 The 80's was the ABSOLUTE BEST CONCERT EVER

by Chapter2 on 3/7/17BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

Back 2 The 80's brought the city out on Saturday, March 4! Every neighborhood and high school class from the 80's was well represented. There were more Adidas, dookie rope chains, bamboo earrings, velour jogging suits than a little bit. Oh and the Kangol hats... The energy of the acts was phenomenal. To see hip hop legends Whodini, Big Daddy Kane and the story teller Slick Rick w/Doug E. Fresh take us back to our high school days was the BEST concert that Birmingham has brought to the city in many years. The only drawback is the dated venue. It's time that we upgrade or build a modern facility to attract more of these types of concerts to cater to the 40 and up age group.

by GfromDC on 2/17/17DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

The music reminded me of the simple things in life while growing up in D.C. I was so glad I came & show all my favorite artists.

    Super Disappointing

by OldSchoolMusicLover1 on 2/15/17Nashville Municipal Auditorium - Nashville

Pretty good line up of performers but horrible sound system with no live music. An incredible waste of money and disappointment when I hoped to dance all night after dressing the them for it.
