Whitney Cummings on Tour

Whitney Cummings is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. Best known for creating and starring in the NBC series "Whitney," she also co-created and co-wrote (with Michael Patrick King) the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series "2 Broke Girls."

In November of this year, Whitney launched her own podcast titled "Good For You." Whitney has a lot of questions for a lot of different kinds of people. She also has opinions. And a robot. "Good For You" is self-produced by Whitney alongside Made By Super and records in Los Angeles. New episodes are released on Wednesdays.

Whitney debuted her 4th stand up special, "Can I Touch It?" on Netflix on July 30th. The special includes Whitney's signature incisive commentary on gender dynamics is more relevant than ever. Filmed at the Sidney Harmon Hall in her hometown, Washington, DC. The special touches Whitney's take on everything including her signature incisive commentary on gender dynamics and why we should give sex robots a chance.

Up next, Whitney will star and executive produce a new half-hour comedy for Amazon, "Good People" which she co-created alongside Lee Daniels. The show revolves around three generations of women working in the ombudsman's office of a college that navigates the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations, and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sec, race, class and gender.

In October 2017, Whitney debuted her novel "I'm Fine...And Other Lies," which details her brutal anxiety and codependency disorder, written with her trademark entertaining wit, humor, and honesty. That same year, Whitney made her directorial debut with the feature adaptation of Louann Brizendine's best-seller, "The Female Brain". In addition to co-writing and directing, she stars alongside Sofia Vergara, James Marsden, Lucy Punch, Toby Kebbell, Cecily Strong, Beanie Feldstein, and Blake Griffin. "The Female Brain" comically details the inner workings and complex power of brain chemistry among couples at different stages of their relationships. The film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was distributed by IFC.

On the big screen, Whitney was last seen in "Unforgettable" for Warner Bros. Past feature film credits include "The Wedding Ringer," "Made of Honor," and "The Ridiculous Six." Whitney has appeared in such series as "Undateable," "Workaholics," "Maron" and the Comedy Central Roasts, which have solidified her presence in comedy television.

Her second one-hour stand-up special, "Whitney Cummings: I Love You," debuted on Comedy Central in June 2014. Her third one-hour stand-up special "I'm Your Girlfriend," aired on HBO in 2016.

Great show. Whitney was truly funny, on point, engaging, and lots of fun. Even her opening act, Dan Levy, was great. Will definitely see her next time she's at The Montbleu "Last Resort" & Casino. Lol!

As my wife and i were walking through the casino we saw Whitney walking, we yelled "Hey Whitney!", she replied replied with "Hey guys, How are you?" She's funny as heck!

  • Foxwoods show

    by Jamiekaz75 on 7/27/12Foxwoods - CtRating: 1 out of 5

Whitney was not as good as I anticipated. She was thrown off by a way too interactive crowd and it ruined her rhythm and delivery. She started off by noticing 2 children in he front row of dumbville. Love her TV her standup went sour.

I laughed so hard that tears were strolling down my face, I could hardly breathe. I didn't want the show to end.

I went to see Rob Schneider but actually ended up loving Whitney. Rob had some good lines - "Pablano, Serrano, Jalapeno" cracked me up so much - very clever! Whitney was just hilarious with her male/female jokes - a little raunchy a couple times, but her interaction with the audience and ability to go with what the audience sent her way was her strong point.

  • great times

  • Not what I expected

by RNmimi on 6/13/12San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino - HighlandRating: 1 out of 5

First off the casinos show room was awful. Have been to see Jo koy at pechanga and their show room is 1000 times better. It looked cheap and I felt like I was in a high school auditorium. Pretty unimpressed since San Manuel is supposably such a popular casino. Second I was really hoping Whitney Cummings was better on person then ahe really was. It was like she has no material she spent the whole show picking on a couple audience members...not funny. BUT Rob Schneider was great! He was pretty hilarious and at least I got something for my money from his stand up. Would definitely not recommend San Manuel to a friend.

  • Rob was hilarious

Rob was awesome! I didn't think he was going to be good as a stand up comedian, but he proved me wrong. Whitney on the other hand didn't do that well. It seemed as she didn't have enough material so she went to the audience for support. She literally had a full on lame conversation with a cop sitting close to the stage. She was easily distracted and it got a little frustrating for the rest of the audience. I recommend going to see Rob, but stay home and watch Whitney on tv. She is a lot better on her show.

  • Whitney seemed unprepared

by Papaphil on 6/12/12Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

Although Whitney was funny at times, she seemed unprepared and didn't have much new material. It was her 1st stand up gig since her TV show, and she seemed distracted by it. She did a lot of talking to the audience but didn't repeat what their repsonses were, so the rest of us weren't in on her jokes. I'd never pay to see her again.

  • Disappointing

by Marenick on 6/12/12Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

We had higher expectations for Whitney's show given her success. Instead her show was a major disappointment. Although she came out with notes in hand, she seemed unprepared, rambled on and on never hitting a high point or making a point for that matter, and then abruptly ended the show while in conversation with the audience in the front rows. She needs to put more time into her return to stand up to make it work!

Whitney was fun and engaging. She did appear to be a bit unprepared but interacted well with the audience. Her opening act was great too!

It seems that she was comepletely unprepared for this show or to come back to stand up. I didn't laugh; so very disappointed. I visited from Baltimore for this show and wish I would have saved my money.

  • Whitney can't wing it!

by DisappointedPete on 6/12/12Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

Let me start by saying I love Whitney's TV show. I think the writing is funny and all of the characters draw you in to want more of her comedy each week. And I think she has done a great job on the roasts she has done. But her standup act at the Trop was terrible. She came out and said she was spending most of her time working on the TV show and had not prepared for this show at the Trop, and it was evident! She came out with a stack of paper, which showed how unprepared she was. She started with a few humorous men bashing rifs and then talked a little about the TV show comedians. But she quickly ran out of material and started talking to people in the audience to try and fill in her time. She neglected repeating what the audience members were saying to her, so we basically heard a one sided conversation - that was not entertaining or funny. Many people were walking out throughout the show. My girlfriend and I couldn't wait for the show to be over. All I wanted was my money back. Whitney is a great entertainer, but she would have proven that by preparing for the show. We were ripped off!
