Whitney Cummings on Tour

Whitney Cummings is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. Best known for creating and starring in the NBC series "Whitney," she also co-created and co-wrote (with Michael Patrick King) the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series "2 Broke Girls."

In November of this year, Whitney launched her own podcast titled "Good For You." Whitney has a lot of questions for a lot of different kinds of people. She also has opinions. And a robot. "Good For You" is self-produced by Whitney alongside Made By Super and records in Los Angeles. New episodes are released on Wednesdays.

Whitney debuted her 4th stand up special, "Can I Touch It?" on Netflix on July 30th. The special includes Whitney's signature incisive commentary on gender dynamics is more relevant than ever. Filmed at the Sidney Harmon Hall in her hometown, Washington, DC. The special touches Whitney's take on everything including her signature incisive commentary on gender dynamics and why we should give sex robots a chance.

Up next, Whitney will star and executive produce a new half-hour comedy for Amazon, "Good People" which she co-created alongside Lee Daniels. The show revolves around three generations of women working in the ombudsman's office of a college that navigates the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations, and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sec, race, class and gender.

In October 2017, Whitney debuted her novel "I'm Fine...And Other Lies," which details her brutal anxiety and codependency disorder, written with her trademark entertaining wit, humor, and honesty. That same year, Whitney made her directorial debut with the feature adaptation of Louann Brizendine's best-seller, "The Female Brain". In addition to co-writing and directing, she stars alongside Sofia Vergara, James Marsden, Lucy Punch, Toby Kebbell, Cecily Strong, Beanie Feldstein, and Blake Griffin. "The Female Brain" comically details the inner workings and complex power of brain chemistry among couples at different stages of their relationships. The film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was distributed by IFC.

On the big screen, Whitney was last seen in "Unforgettable" for Warner Bros. Past feature film credits include "The Wedding Ringer," "Made of Honor," and "The Ridiculous Six." Whitney has appeared in such series as "Undateable," "Workaholics," "Maron" and the Comedy Central Roasts, which have solidified her presence in comedy television.

Her first one-hour stand up special, "Money Shot," premiered on Comedy Central in August 2010 and was nominated for an American Comedy Award. Her second one-hour stand-up special, "Whitney Cummings: I Love You," debuted on Comedy Central in June 2014. Her third one-hour stand-up special "I'm Your Girlfriend," aired on HBO in 2016.

  • Glad I didn't miss Whitney Cummings!

by TimXEB on 8/23/15Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

My first chance to see Whitney, and she did not disappoint! I like that she only had one opening act, as we all know who we're really here to see. Whitney is funny as hell and filthy in concert, and I totally approve. I mean, how many female comedians do 10 minutes on "squirting." That's right, she not only did 10 minutes of hilarious material on female ejaculation, but she actually HAD 10 minutes of it to do in the first place. Amazing! SPOILER ALERT (in case you ever see Whitney live and/or date her): She does not (currently, at least) squirt. So don't ask her to. Have a chance to see her in concert? DO IT!

  • Whitney Cummings =woman comedian/guy humor

by NairbYelreib on 6/16/15Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Whitney was testing out new material at her Detroit show and interestingly put some notes on the floor in front of her. But, when the show started, she had us laughing as she said out loud things we only think about. She is star. That is probably why she is getting a comedy special. See her if you have the chance. Just don't go on a first date. One young couple in the front row she spoke to ended leaving (maybe breaking up?). This would be a show to see with guy friends, girl friends or if you are in a solid relationship. Not first date content. One girl we sat next to drove in from Toronto to see her in Detroit she was such a big fan. There you go.

  • Laughed till I cried!

Great show; haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Soundboard is a great venue too!

  • I love Whitney on Chelsea Lately...

by Angielatreviewingforyou on 6/8/15Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

I love Whitney on Chelsea Lately so I was excited she was coming to town. I was slightly unprepared for how feminist her show is and how uncomfortable I felt during some of her jokes. Perhaps I did not bring the right person with me for her type of humor but it was way more feminist than I expected and not a fabulous time w a date because of it. Wish I would have brought a girlfriend instead, it probably would have struck me and slightly more funny. She makes some great points and I laughed none-the-less, but don't go to her show on a date, go w a gal pal.

  • Whitney Cummings at Soundboard- Motor City Casino

by Axn28dapod on 6/8/15Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

She is very comfortable on stage, very engaging with the crowd. Appears to do a lot of 'off the cuff' discussion which is a lot better then a written monologue.

  • hitney Cummings is the best female comedian by far

by HVACR on 6/8/15Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Whitney Cummings is so good, I would have came back to see her again the next night too! She makes it a point to connect with her audience, and to make the show feel very personal. She's very genuine, I would love to meet her in person.

  • Hilarious

by Stilltrying5150 on 6/7/15Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Whitney Cummings was hilarious. 1 1/2 hour show. Great crowd interaction. Even gracious after the show. Shaking hands, posing for pictures and sincerely thanking people for coming. A total class act. How refreshing.

Whitney was very funny. Thought she was going to be raunchy but definitely not! Her jokes were done in good taste. I laughed almost the entire show.

This show was awesome. Loved might be a strong word but I was definitely a fan of the show Whitney. Had never seen her stand up though. She had me rollin'! The opening act was all right too - not hilarious but the kind of guy I'd laugh with in normal conversation. With the exception of the exorbitant beer prices (26$ for two! is this NYC?) it was a good time!

  • Whitney is hysterical

by Anonymous on 5/19/15Mount Airy Casino Resort - Mount PoconoRating: 4 out of 5

We got to see her in a very small venue (1000 people) and she was great. Very funny and creative. She knew what was working based on the crowd and kept adjusting the material. We would definitely see her again.

  • Show could have been better but GOOD

by powder068 on 5/19/15Mount Airy Casino Resort - Mount PoconoRating: 3 out of 5

Show was funny but very short....seats not advertised correctly. It was a practice act for her big upcoming show. Would have liked it to been longer!

  • Whitney rocked it......

by kmp72 on 5/19/15Mount Airy Casino Resort - Mount PoconoRating: 5 out of 5

Whitney rocked the stage and had everyone in stitches. I would sooooooo recommend everyone to see her live if given the opportunity. The opening guy, Matt F, was also awesome! Great team on the stage Saturday night. Can't wait to see Whitney again!

  • Good but short

    by JSJS21 on 12/17/14Wilbur Theatre - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

Whitney and her opener were good However, the whole show was only an hour. It definitely could have been longer Also, the Wilbur drink prices are OUT OF CONTROL for a dixie cup size drink

She was awful. Same topic over and ever. Not edgy, not fun.

  • Laughed so hard. She's pretty too!

    by Devonne1 on 12/16/14Wilbur Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Like Amy Schumer, Whitney is beautiful, quick-witted, and laugh-out-loud funny. Her star is rising. Catch her whenever you can. I will always go to see her whenever she's in town.

  • she was awesome!

    by patsfan08112 on 12/16/14Wilbur Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I attended this past weekend and thought she on point with so many topics. A lot of laughs were had. An amazing night and look forward to seeing her again! She engages a lot with the audience. If you can not handle talking to her, sit in the balcony.
