A Great Group, an Even Better Experience

by Anonymous on 3/25/13Wilbur Theatre - Boston

This is my second time seeing WKUK, and they never fail to impress. I would argue that this year's show was even better than the last, with more audience involvement and some new material. After the show the guys took the time to take pictures and chat with fans, and I'm impressed by how they make the extra effort to actually have a conversation with you as opposed to the typical awkward small talk. These guys genuinely care about their fans and making them happy, which paired with their hilarious show makes them the perfect comedy troupe. It's only been a couple days since, but I'm already looking forward to the next time they come around!

    Great comedy but missing something

by unofficialitguy on 3/25/13Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I've been a longtime fan of WKYK and was excited to see them live. I was expecting some classic sketches and some new material. It turns out that they were a member down (Zach was too busy) and the only new material they had was in the form of videos that were made prior to the tour. If I wanted to watch a sketch on a TV, I would have stayed home and pulled it up on YouTube. Overall it was really funny but with a member down and a video crutch, I hesitate to recomend this event.

    LOL funny!

by laru87 on 2/28/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

At this particular show at Cobb's in San Francisco the opening comedian (the host?) was okay, the second comedian (don't recall name) was hysterical! The Whitest Kids U Know cast put on a spectacular show! I laughed non stop. They performed some of their sketches that you might have seen on the show, but there was a lot of new material. Very good material! I was called on stage to do a skit with them, and they were all such nice guys. Great experience!

Fantastic show! These guys are even better live, and my face hurt afterwards from laughing so much. Loved the venue too! Great food and the wait staff were amazing. Overall a great experience.

Great troupe, but desparately need new material

by jodirren on 2/25/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

I think WKUK is one of the greatest comedy troupes since Monty Python. Their skits are (mostly) comedic genius. However, they *really* need some new material. I saw them in 2011 when they were in their last season on IFC, and though they mostly performed old skits, in between on a screen they would show videos of their soon-to-be-released skits. So that was cool. However, I just say them on their 2013 tour (in SF), and they have essentially *no* new material. They haven't been on-air in 1.5 years and they haven't come up with more than one or two new skits?! They even said at one point during the show that they try to balance performing the classics since everybody loves them and new people haven't seen them with new stuff. Fine ... but to be truly in balance there needs to be new stuff. And there was none (except two skits). So as someone who has seen all their skits on youtube or IFC, it was big letdown. It's always great to see these gives live (they definitely thrive in a live-audience situation), but I was bummed that I knew every single skit. Come on, guys! Get back to creating ... it's what you do best.

The Whitest Kids are always awesome!

by TheSparklyPenguin on 2/25/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

This was my second time seeing them at Cobbs and it was great both times! They had a lot of audience participation, new stuff, and some favorites from the series. These guys kick a** live. Not only would I recommend them to a friend, but I plan to see them again next time they're in town!

    Whitest Kids You Know

by MrGrady on 2/25/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

Awesome!, The all ages show allowed my Daughter to go( who is a huge fan). The San Francisco tour opener was basically a pre cursor of things to come for the other dates.. Totally funny, all the best sketches and Audience participation. A few surprises too The Guys hung out to meet and greet, sign stuff and were the very cool and polite. They took a picture with my daughter, and that alone was the Best. GO SEE THEM!!

by SAMantequilla on 2/25/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

My husband and I are big fans of WKUK. We watch the show all the time so to get to see so many of the skits we enjoy done live was just awsome! They were also great at adlibbing and teasing the audience. We like Cobbs too, great food and drinks. One of the best blue hawaiians I've ever had!

    Worth the price

by JIsaacC on 2/25/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

The first opener was not funny, the second was pretty good, and TWKUK were hilarious. I wish they opened the balcony and just had one long show because it was kind of short.

    Hard to watch

by WKUKfan on 2/24/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

As a long-time WKUK fan I had high expectations for seeing them live for the first time at Cobb's. The two opening acts were only decent and, unfortunately, WKUK wasn't a whole lot better. They started strong with a couple of classic skits from their TV show. The first half was strong except for a couple forgotten lines. But the second half was like watching a tornado hit the stage. After two mediocre skits, one of the actors forgot a line and asked for the group to start from the beginning. Another actor got mad about it and started a hateful spiral of slurs being thrown back and forth across the stage between actors. One of the actors even threatened to quit. The show had to be finished with an audience member filling in for an angry actor. Again, as a long-time fan, it was very disappointing to see.

    Crazzzzyy!

by JCurlee on 2/24/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

The show overall was pretty funny! Te boys interacted with the audience A LOT. we even got to pick what skits we wanted to see! Trevor showed his Pope music video and i dont think one person in the venue wasn't curled over laughing! However, since it was one of their first shows of their tour, they were a little unorganized and rusty. Darren walked out over a dispute with Zach. and Timmy got a chair thrown at him... It was intense. Entertaining, and kinda of sad too. DON'T LEAVE DARREN! Oh.. And the comedian who opened for them should be fired. Horrible.

    Funniest show in years!

by Tanuki2001 on 2/24/13Cobb's Comedy Club - San Francisco

Since their show is no longer on IFC :( this was our first opportunity to see Whitest Kids U Know in quite a long time. They have not lost their edge and are well worth seeing. Some old sketches, some new: all very, very funny. It's hard to choose among them as to which I enjoyed more, but the man visiting the psychic and Pope Rap (available on You Tube and NOT to be missed) were standouts with Pope Rap being one of the funniest (and most offensive) sketches I've seen in a very, very long time. This was the very first show of their tour and they apologized in advance for any rough edges, but such edges weren't noticeable and the show went very smoothly. No breaks and very good value for the money - a good solid hour of the Kids doing what they do best. If they come to your area, don't miss this show! Side Notes: Not sure I would agree with "All ages with parental supervision" - the Kids get pretty raw and I'm not sure it's suitable for pre-teens. Service from the bar was very prompt although prices are typically high for a comedy show. Wait staff is courteous, helpful, and prompt. Beware, though, if someone near you orders the garlic fries, you *will* smell them (a lot) and may need to order yourself in self defense! The opening comedians, Johnny Pemberton and Josh Fadem, were only okay. I didn't find Johnny Pemberton funny at all and Josh Fadem only had a couple good lines, but overall they fell flat.

    Comedic Perfection!!

    by Lilith143Kain on 2/16/12Royale Boston - Boston

I absolutely ADORE the WKUK and when I noticed they were going on tour I set my alarm and ordered tickets the minute they went on sale. I'm a veteran at attending music concerts but I have never been to a comedy show, so I had no clue what to expect. All I knew is it was going to be epic....and epic it was! I was able to grab front row seats to what I can easily say was an event I'll never forget! They mostly performed sketches from the show, which I loved!! They were very relaxed and performing live almost seemed to come naturally to them. Barely any props were used (except chairs and a few random assessories) but you were still able to see in your mind exactly what they were portraying! Wow, I can go on and on telling you just how amazingly GREAT this show was! Sadly, there were a few disappointments. First, the show started a hour late, and then they only performed for a hour...but I really can't complain too much since only paying $12 a ticket. I would've LOVED if they performed some of their songs BUT this absence did not ruin the show in any way, it was still a great show without them. Also, it was fantastic that they stayed a bit after the show to take pictures and sign autographs but their downfall was not preparing an ordered process to avoid the chaos of their crazed female fans, which mobbed around them as soon as they stepped out. Even with these few disappointments, I still had an amazing night that I will never forget! I truly hope to see them again in the future!
