  • Terribly disappointing

by Becky on 11/25/25Bally's Lake Tahoe - StatelineRating: 1 out of 5

The singer was horrible, the band was barely passable. It was hands-down the absolute worst concert I've ever seen. We were going to walk out after the first song, but stayed in hopes that it might get better. It never did. Huge waste of time and money. I still love Prince, and this tribute band certainly did not do him justice. The most disappointing night ever.

  • Average.

by MoMan on 11/25/25Bally's Lake Tahoe - StatelineRating: 3 out of 5

Was visiting Lake Tahoe for my anniversary and thought this may have been a fun show boy was I wrong. It was just average I can’t say anything good about it. The signer sounded more like Micheal Jackson than Prince. The people sitting across from us after about 5 songs left it was so bad. We ended up leaving not to long after. Went to the casino and watched the Free Dueling pianos show in the Lou he and had a Great time. Don’t waste your time or money!

To the person aka Concert Queen, who left the comment about the Lead Singer, maybe it was you who had low energy, I have seen and followed this Band for almost 3 years now, never had LOW ENERGY PERORMANCE, The Lead singer is AWESOME! Don't see Concert Queen performing anywhere, thank you! By the way, "all the critics love you in New York!"Can't wait to see the Band perform next Month in the Bay Area! Your #1 Fan from the Bay!

  • Great Voice But No Energy

by Concert Queen on 2/23/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 3 out of 5

When Doves Cry band has what it takes to honor Prince’s legacy. The lead singer. does Prince justice on his voice, especially in slow songs. The guitarist is phenomenally skilled. HOWEVER, the lead singer has NO Energy that is desperately required on Prince’s high energy songs like “Let’s Go Crazy” and “1999” , the track sounded like it was slowed down for the lead singer and when he sung them, you could literally take a nap listening to it. It was such a shame since the lead singer could add pep to the song but all i could hear was a lead singer who very obviously might have been a Lounge singer at his base, who would shine as a jazzy soulful singer but SERIOUSLY he needs to step up and match Princes energy in those songs and make us dance! I would love to see this band again if he can do that but without some Red Bull in his veins prepare for a very soulful Prince side of his music, nothing more

💜💜 We first saw When Doves Cry - Prince Tribute Band in 2019 at Lake Tahoe. We were HOOKED from the first song forward. The voice of the lead singer is MAGICAL. The backup singer… everyone in this band will blow you away. This is a Tribute band - not a cover band. They truly honor Prince and his music. Pure, raw talent!! Fun fun fun!!! Zero Auto-Tune here! Love to dance? You won’t be able to sit still! From the insanely talented guitarist (prepare to be blown away hearing and watching him!) to the lead vocals (Jaw dropping & mesmerizing!) to the keyboard, bass, sax, backup vocal, EVERYONE in this band is an artist who pours everything into their performances and you will notice!!! I have seen them no less than 20 times and have been to hundreds of concerts in my life all over - so I say: DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW. Prince fans everywhere LOVE When Doves Cry Tribute to Prince and if you love live music and want to see a genuinely awesome show, BUY TICKETS. See you there!!! 💜💜💜💜💜
