The Western Carolina Baseball team is a college baseball team that plays in the Southern Conference, which is a NCAA Division I conference. The team's colors are purple and gold, and they are known as the Catamounts.
The team's home stadium is called Hennon Stadium, and is located on the Western Carolina University campus in Cullowhee, North Carolina. Hennon Stadium has a seating capacity of 1,500 fans, and features a natural grass playing surface. The stadium is named after former head coach Jack Hennon, who led the team for 22 seasons.
Over the years, the Western Carolina Baseball team has had many achievements and memorable moments. One of the most notable moments was in 2016 when they won the Southern Conference Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Regionals. Additionally, the team has produced several Major League Baseball players, including Tyler White and Brent Greer.
