Amazing show, from the openers to the main it was top notch.
This was a spectacular performance! Everyone in the group was INCREDIBLY TALENTED and full of energy. They played songs from every album they have which was SO COOL
Truly the best show I’ve ever been to. Watsky is amazing and his “Welcome to the Family” Tour was so special. I love his message and all the human compassion he spreads. Please go see him and support him. Let’s make sure this guy has an amazing life because he truly deserves it.
I love Watsky. The venue was fantastic. The people were great at the merch table, security guys, everything. They were all so polite and kind. I know Watsky has no control of what his openers say, but I don’t understand why it was made so political. Do people not realize they have fans with different view points? I came here to enjoy the music of someone I have been listening to for almost 10 years, not to listen to someone else’s political statements. Again, love Watsky and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but please don’t make 10 minutes of your set about politics.
Watsky is an amazing performer along with all who accompanied him. Newport is the best venue in central Ohio (in my opinion) so it was just a win win. If I had to find one negative, I’d say that it took awhile for the tour manager to let in VIP, but apart from that, great show. Also, he has lots of audience interaction, a huge plus.
The show was outstanding! Place was great. Felt really close to band
This is my fourth time seeing Watsky. I swear every time he can't get better but yet again, he surpasses and kills it. Feed the biirds and (hate to say I forgot the first guys name) the other artist was also amazing. Spose showed up and of course, he killed it too. All and all, I undoubtedly will go see Watsky perform again because its always entertaining. He's an awesome performer and transcends throughout the genres in his songs. 10/10 would reccomend
What can I say about George Watsky? ... talented, humble, profound, engaging performer, brilliant poet... all around legend? He walks on stage and stares out to the crowd and you know he is so happy to be there. Really cares about his fans and the message he sends through his music. If you ever get the chance to see him, dont miss out. You'll have the time of your life!
Great show! I’ve never been to a venue that small, but it made the concert so much more personal and unforgettable!
Such a life-changing, connected, intense show. Feed the Biirds and Chukwudi Hodge were both amazing openers. Camila's voice blows me away every time. Watsky never puts on a bad show but this was my favorite out of all 5 times I've seen him--his music and his energy are so cathartic. Couldn't recommend this tour enough!
When you go to a concert for an artist you appreciate, you are always in for a great time. However, this concert was beautiful. All the energy on stage from the opening act to everyone coming together at the end? Truly outstanding. House of Blues in an incredible venue and the staff couldn't have been more professional. Watsky's tour was called Welcome To The Family and I have to say, it's not so bad to be a Watsky. <3
It was a lot of fun, very talented, very involved, wasn’t insanely loud like most concerts can get.
Watsky brings such a real down to earth passion to his shows that you just don't find with other performers. His stage presence and interactions with the audience warms the heart and will leave you with a night that you never want to end.
One of the best shows I have ever been to at HOB. It was an incredibly sweet crowd. No one was rude or pushy at all. We had box seats and they offered a great view of the stage. Watsky put on an incredible show. So much fun!
Watsky’s welcome to the family tour came with many good vibes and one very prominently disgusting performance. There were four performers front and center during the concert’s three sets. The female vocalist was strong and technical in her singing breathing life into every note and word in each song. I loved her stage presence and her attitude, and she later appears singing in duet with Watsky. She takes the stage with another male performer who does a wonderful job complementing her singing with backup vocals and guitar. The second act was with a performer named Pinot Grigio. He proceeded to crack jokes that were racially charged and offensive and no one laughed at while he was on stage. He referenced toxic masculinity, felt the need to tell everyone he was black, and then provided a disclaimer for the first song he was going to sing. A disclaimer he felt was necessary because it’s title and actual words were offensive and I suppose he didn’t want people to fight him after the concert. Newsflash: no one comes to a concert for one sided politics or race discussions. Had I not come to see Watsky, I would have asked for my money back. There’s also two other parts of his set when he starts to rap with an auto tuned filter, and a drum solo a high school freshman could have turned out with a year of drum lessons. Boring like his opinions on gender and race, his set belonged off stage and the show would have done well without it. Lastly we arrive at Watsky, who nearly 7 years ago he was writing dorky lyrics over break ya neck to land an interview on Ellen. The skinny nerdy guy writing poetry. Needless to say, Watsky has had a long road after graduating from Emerson in Boston and releasing his 5th studio album this winter. His technical ability and stage command were extraordinary. His songs were engaging. His commentary between songs was welcoming and enjoyable and provocative. And lastly he’s rapping while crowdsurfing, without skipping a beat. It was quite a spectacle. I highly recommend seeing watsky as soon as you get a chance, however I’d do it on the next tour he dumps Pinot.
Excellent performance, interactive, song choice was great. Show designed well, openers were relevant and interesting
Seeing Watsky was an absolute treat. His energy was palpable and the love for his craft really showed through his performance. His “family” that toured with him complemented each other and made for a cohesive and tight performance. Everyone had a vital role. Camilla Recchio’s powerhouse vocals were beautiful and complimented Watsky’s rapping; Kush Mody provided beautiful and melodic bass lines with some synths in the mix; Pat Dimitri stunned the crowd with his sweeping guitar solos and melodic context; Chukwudi Hodge proved (as always) to be a brilliant and talented drummer as well as rapper, elevating each song with perfect timing and flare. All in all, it was one of the best concerts that I have ever seen. I could not recommend seeing a show on this tour enough!
Incredible. Watsky, Pat, Camila, Mody and Kwudi are always friendly and always put on an amazing show
Great Venue great performance! Lighting and sound amazing. Not a bad spot in the house.
The Gilmore is such a great venue. what a shame they were hosting such a lackluster performance
