A Musical satire of 1960s big business and all it held sacred, HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called "How To Succeed In Business" to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the company man, the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love. This blockbuster musical comedy features a beloved score packed with such hit standards as "I Believe in You," "Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm," "The Company Way," "Been a Long Day," "Rosemary" and "Brotherhood of Man."

I thoroughly enjoyed "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying'. The lead character was Broadway worthy. Every character played their roles wonderfully. I particularly loved the scene ' the brotherhood of man'. It gave me chills. I saw the show on it's last day. I regret not seeing it sooner because I would have seen it a second time.
I performed in the touring company of this show 50 years ago. I can't believe it!! In spite of the years, the subject is still timely and great fun. It was quite a trip down memory lane and I enjoyed it thoroughly. All the comments from people around me were very positive.
Many years ago I saw this show in Philly when in "Tryout" before Broadway. I purposely brought a friend to see it. That friend was quite pleased. After a half century this production was just as much fun. Although set in the corporate world of the 1950s/60s it was just as relevant in poking fun at human nature and the corporate system but excellently set to music and dance. All the cast played their respective parts extremely well, perhaps because they appeared to be enjoying themselves and each other.
Fabulous!!!! Every aspect was fabulous!!!! Loved the costumes, the choreography ... even the scene changes. And of course, the cast was stellar!!
I went into this play already having the mind set that I probably wouldn't like it, this was my first musical I've ever gone to. I was actually surprised to see how good & funny the cast were & how they kept you interested in the storyline throughout the entire thing.
I have always been fond of the movie with Robert Morse but had never seen the stage performance. Walnut Street always puts on a top production, and this was no exception. The casting was right on target, the dance numbers were very well done too - but the singing! All I can say is WOW. Good strong voices appeared in every role but I was most impressed with the vocals by the lead (also named Morse coincidentally) as J. Pierpont Finch. Don't miss the evening of Great Fun in Philadelphia.
The show was very entertaining from the beginning to the end.
I loved watching every minute of it! I've been wanting to see this play for the past year after hearing the premiss of it and this show did not let down. Had me cracking up from start to finish.
How to Succeed... was wonderful. Light, funny, tuneful, it was a great pick-me-up on a hot summer's day. The seats were first row center mezzanine, so my wife had a perfect view.
