About

Monument Records recording artist Walker Hayes is a singer/songwriter originally from Mobile, Alabama. In 2021, his smash hit "Fancy Like" topped every country music sales and streaming chart, spent more than six months at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, hit the top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Songs, hit No. 1 at country radio, and gave Hayes his first GRAMMY Award nomination as an artist for Best Country Song. The song was also featured in a nationwide Applebee's commercial. That track, as well as follow up single's "AA," "Y'all Life," and "Good With Me" have made Hayes one of the top selling and streamed artists in country music. His current project Sober Thoughts includes single "Same Drunk" and saw Hayes partnering with Athletic Brewing on a custom non-alcoholic beer.

Hayes has performed his music, including the Double-Platinum RIAA certified hit "You Broke Up With Me," to national audiences on Good Morning America, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and TODAY, and he was profiled for CBS Sunday Morning.

Hayes just announced his next headlining tour, The Same Drunk Tour, which follows his last arena tours, The Duck Buck Tour and the Glad You're Here Tour. The Glad You're Here Tour is the same title as the book Hayes released in 2022 with his best friend, Craig Allen Cooper, detailing his journey to finding Christ.

First time seeing Walker Hayes live and he was great. We love the venue, it’s a great intimate outdoor amphitheater.

BEST CONCERT EVER! Except it started earlier than scheduled

    by Kristin on 8/1/23

Had the best time at the Walker Hayes concert. He puts on an amazing show and tells intimate stories about what inspired the songs. His backup dancers are unreal and the graphics utilized come together for an awesome show. I was also excited for his two openers and when we got to the show 10 minutes after the scheduled start time we had missed all of BRELAND and all but 2 of Ingrid's songs. That was pretty annoying - I realize they did it bc of weather but ticket holders weren't notified in an app, email, text, apple wallet, or anything else. We were onsite at the Music Factory and absolutely would have headed over sooner had we known.

An Unforgettable Night of Music and Talent

    by Music on 8/1/23

I recently had the pleasure of attending a concert featuring the talented Walker Hayes at a popular venue, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment Walker took the stage, he captivated the audience with his infectious energy and powerful vocals. His performance was nothing short of exceptional, leaving me in awe of his musical prowess. Walker Hayes has a unique ability to connect with his fans on a personal level, making the concert feel intimate despite the large crowd. He interacted with the audience, engaging in playful banter and sharing heartfelt stories behind his songs, making the entire performance feel genuine and heartfelt. Throughout the concert, Walker showcased his versatility as an artist, seamlessly transitioning between upbeat anthems and emotional ballads. His music touched the hearts of many, and it was evident that his lyrics resonated deeply with the audience. The venue itself offered a pleasant atmosphere with its well-designed layout and excellent acoustics, allowing the music to fill the space beautifully. However, it's essential to address the issue with the venue's customer service during a sudden storm. When it became evident that a lightning storm was approaching, the lack of a clear and timely evacuation plan was concerning. Despite the concert being put on hold, the communication regarding re-entry to the venue was unclear, leaving many concert-goers feeling stranded outside without shelter options. While some attendees decided to leave for safety, a significant number of us chose to remain and seek shelter under tents and awnings. Unfortunately, even this limited space for refuge was disrupted when a venue worker instructed us to leave, despite having stood there for nearly half an hour. In conclusion, Walker Hayes' concert was undoubtedly a night of musical excellence, showcasing his incredible talent and heartfelt connection with the audience. However, the venue's shortcomings in managing the situation during the storm were disappointing. I hope that the venue takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service and safety protocols in the future to ensure the well-being and enjoyment of all concert-goers. Despite the venue's flaws, Walker Hayes' performance was truly remarkable and made the night one to remember.

    Disappointed

    by ELH on 8/1/23

Very disappointed that the change in start times for the Walker Hayes show were not communicated via email. We purchased these tickets to see Ingrid Andres but start times changed so we completely missed the main person we wanted to see. This was my daughter’s first concert and she had been looking forward to this show for some time.

    Less than poor communication

    by Aaron on 8/1/23

Initially excited about this concert and all the openers too! An hour before the concert, they sent an email they would start in 30 minutes. Few people have this flexibility. Fortunately, we already planned to arrive a little early and we’re able to move our timeline up. Each opener played abbreviated sets and skipped on the duet they played at other cities. The main act started normally. Then announced because of the weather they were going to play their two biggest hits back to back. It was great! They said something like “we’re taking a break and might be back,” and walked off stage. What?? Everyone was confused. Some people started leaving. The crew lowered speakers, collected equipment, and covered others with large tarps. The staff near us had no idea about anything. I received no email. There was no announcement on the audio system. The storm looked increasingly ominous. We decided to leave, rather than be caught in a thunderstorm with possible lightning and hail. The amphitheater only has one entrance and exit that I know of and it was extremely crowded getting out. The primary reason I wanted to leave before any lightning or hail was for our physical safety in case there was a rush for the exit. As we left, there was one person I could barely hear saying they are not evacuating and if we decide to leave we cannot get in. I heard another fan ask what would happen if there was lightning. He said then they would evacuate. When there is a communication vacuum, people assume bad things. Live Nation could have easily communicated with us in different ways. They chose not to. Most of the employees didn’t even know what was going on. This lowers my trust of them. Even without an evacuation order, the exit was still slow and crowded. A panicked crowd could have easily been dangerous. I do not feel Live Nation is capable of handling a panicked crowd under evacuation. Live Nation is not responsible for the weather. They are responsible for the decisions they make and the lack of communication around those decisions.

Walker Hayes was good, but terrible experience at venue

    by marcw980 on 8/1/23

Concert was supposed to start at 6:30pm. Get an email at 5:38 the show will be starting at 6, ok no big deal will just be a little late. We were already en route so no way we could get there any sooner. Well security took so long we did not get into the venue until shortly after 7. At that point Breland and Ingrid Andress had already performed and were done. Really? Both opening acts were done in an hour? Then Walker Hayes come on around 7:30 and stops playing at 8:15. No announcement or information provided from venue on what was going on. We saw them covering up all the equipment so everyone started filing out of the venue. In talking with people outside the venue and checking phone seems some weather was coming, however we waited around for 30-45 minutes and it never even rained. Show says rain or shine and last 2 shows we saw at this venue continued through heavy rain. Walker Hayes was great for the 45 minutes he played. Very disappointed though to spend good money on tickets to see 45 minutes of the entire show.

    Country music tour?

    by Triv72 on 8/1/23

I should’ve done more research before I bought tickets to this show. This was the most watered down, bubble gum, country show I’ve seen to date. There were back up dancers. This was a kids show. I give him props for playing his hits before the rain hit that way I didn’t have to stay for the whole show.

    Great show

    by Lee G on 8/1/23

My wife loves Walker Hayes and so this was part of her Christmas gift. I personally didn't have high hopes for the show but in the end found it to be great. Love his story, his testimony, and the fact he is such a family man. The concert was great, music great, venue great and now a bigger fan of Walker. Weather in Charlotte looked bad leading up to show and due to Severe Weather Warning they left stage early but for us who waited around he did come back and finish the concert. Definitely recommend Walker Hayes show to others. Go and be a Craig!!!!

    Rain Delay

    by Daria on 8/1/23

There was a lack of mechanism to communicate what was happening in the rain delay. Security told us we weren't allowed to re-enter if we left and we weren't going to sit there when the rain started and we could see heat lightening in the sky. We ended up leaving and not seeing the end of the show because we thought re-entry wasn't possible. There should have been an announcement in the venue as to what was happening.

    Very poor

    by Patrick on 8/1/23

The concert was one of the worst I have seen all summer. All three artists seemed like they cut their sets short. Walker Hays did for sure as he said so. Meanwhile there was no mention by the venue as to why. It was very disappointing.

    Worth sitting in the sun!!

    by Pleasantly surprised on 7/31/23

I did not know much about Walker Hayes (didn't think I did). A friend asked me to join her so I said sure and I am glad I did. I knew more songs played during the concert than I thought I did. It was a great experience. He was very involved with the crowd and a very interesting person. If you are on the fence go for it you will be glad you did.

    Fun concert!

Fun, sing along songs. Walker Hayes shares his struggles, faith and stories. Red Hat Amphitheatre is a good venue for a smaller show.

    Walker Hayes Conert

    by CB on 7/31/23

What a fun night for all. Walker Hayes was so much fun. Not only was the music great but he also engaged with the crowd on a down to earth level. Despite the heat, Raliegh's Red Hat Amphitheatre was a nice venue. Ingrid Andress and Breland were enjoyed also. I even got a selfie with Breland as he walked around the crowd before Walker sang. The event was well organized and managed as everyone's safety was thought of. The crowd had a family atmosphere with respect to others. It was nice to be a part of such wonderful night. My Daughter, who has special challenges made several friends and danced her heart away. Thank you, Walker Hayes, family and your team for such a memorable evening.

Boring, waste of time and money

    by Bored on 7/31/23

Walker Hayes was unable to maintain a fun performance. For every one song, he gave a lengthy sermon before. I can’t hate on anything he said (good for him) but we paid to see a concert, not go to church. He was also super lazy with his singing-he didn’t even sing his popular songs, just held up his mic expecting the audience to sing for him (response was weak, but he didn’t seem to care).
