Romeo & Juliet a little over the edge
by chwallace on 11/6/09Wells Theatre - NorfolkI'm pretty open minded to new interpretations of classics, however, we could have done without the open groping of merry fellow crotches and closeup filming of Juliet's straddling of new hubby Romeo - Juliet should visit the idea of a tightlegged panty to avoid offending more conservative playgoers and to help parents who braved a tagalong preteen avoid an unwanted peekshow. The idea of the new age version was great with laptops and video cams, however, they should try again without the unnecessary "hands- on" interpretation of the script.
