Sony Hall - New York
I went to see it from Japan. Sonyhall sounded very well, and his sweet and gentle voice echoed. It was the best.

Ken Hirai was the best show I have ever seen!!
Sony Hall - New York
This was my first time to visit Sony Hall to see Ken Hirai live show, but I loved this venue because this venue was small enough to intimate and the sound and lighting were perfect!! Love to visit again if Ken Hirai holds live show in the future.

Ken's Bar in NY
B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York
Ken's Bar experience was unforgettable!!! B.B.King Blues Club and Grill was a perfect place for this event. I could not belive I was able to see Ken's Bar in NY. His concert ticket is REALLY hard to get in Japan. It's almost impossible. I still can not believe I was there... It was a dream moment. Thank you for Ken Hirai having Ken's Bar in NY.

Ken, up close and personal
B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York
Traveled to NYC from Colorado just to see Ken, so we went both nights (Wednesday and Thursday). Seating is tricky at this venue, as there are good seats and bad seats, but you have very little control in the matter, even if you get there hours early. First night was good, but the stage lighting was in our eyes, making it difficult most of the time to see Ken. Sound was not quite right and the video projection wasn't always showing the proper stage area (not that this matters in a venue this small). Ken's performance was great with two sets and an encore. He spoke Japanese almost exclusively, but 98% of the crowd was Japanese, so that's understandable. Ken's English is beautiful when he sings it, but apparently he's not as comfortable chatting in English. Almost skipped the second night, as this venue requires a three-hour wait to get a decent seat, but so glad we didn't. The second night was perfect, aided by better seats along with improved sound (perhaps these were related) and Ken was more comfortable, telling better stories between songs. "Ken's Bar" always includes cover songs, and the ones here were "moon river", Nora Jones' "don't know why", Sinatra's "new york" song (don't recall the name, but you know it), and a Stevie Wonder tune. But the highlights were Ken's own songs, including "Pop Star", "Kiss of Life", "Love, love, love", and a bunch more. The crowd was amazing, sort of like being in Tokyo, as there were only a few non-Japanese folks. The two women and the other couple at our table loved the show and this made the whole evening more enjoyable.

Wonderful Night!
B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York
I had great time!!! His voice was amazing! Also, it was nice that he shared his feelings to audience with his talk. His funs from Japan were very polite and friendly . I enjoyed talking with them, too. I hope he comes more often to NY for his events.
