Joe Rogan was the host of the hugely successful reality show "Fear Factor," for six seasons on NBC. Prior to that, Rogan played Joe Garrelli, the resident electrician on the hit NBC comedy series "NewsRadio." Since 2002, Rogan has provided color commentary for the UFC on Pay Per View and Spike Television and also hosts the syndicated show, "UFC Wired." As a standup comedian for nearly 20 years, Joe Rogan has honed an inquisitive and intense comedic style. He exudes a mad joy for life in all its insanity and revels in the art of standup comedy to explore the world with raw honesty. This has made him a national headliner, a favorite performer at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and a guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." In April of 2007 his comedy CD, "Shiny Happy Jihad" was released on Comedy Central Records. Rogan's debut DVD "Joe Rogan Live" aired on Showtime in the spring of 2007.
The ship was amazing. The comics hilarious. The beer lines? People must really need a beer to wait in those ridiculous lines. And the parking is always an issue at the Maverick Center. Seats, amazing. Sound, great! All in all a great experience.
All three acts were spectacular! Joe Rogan is seriously so funny. Worth it.
Drove from Boise to Salt Lake City to see him. I’m a fan of his podcast and also liked his Netflix specials. I thought his last special was good. One before that was great. Sacred Clown Tour DID NOT MISS. It was so funny from beginning to the end. His openers killed, and Joe crushed it. I’m even a bigger fan now. Great crowd too!!
Lines for food and drink were a joke. Waited in line for drinks for over an hour. Once we got to front the lady said Utah rule was to stop selling at 9pm. This made no sense as all others stayed open. Waited another 30 only to get 5 ppl away and the beer ran out.
It was Hilarious. Joe rogan and all his opening acts did a good job and actually put on a great show. Thank you for showimg SLC love and We'll always show up for you Joe
I love Joe. He was so hilarious. I love that he says what everyone else is thinking. He's relatable and so entertaining.
He put on such an amazing show. My husband and I were laughing more than we would have imagined we would have. It was priceless to see and hear him in person. The event was perfect, will buy tickets to the next one in the future.
Saw a lot of people with those phone cases stuffed under their pants for some reason? The beer was really expensive & a few people stood in line without getting a wristband because the stand wasn’t very visible & nobody said anything about id being checked at a separate line. Me personally I went with 3 people & a group of people tried to steal our seats. The performance was great but the sound kind of echoed at moments through the whole show and it was kind of hard to hear him every now and then. Traffic sucked leaving & could have possibly been directed better?
The show was amazing! Joe Rogan is one of the greatest comedians of all time. The Maverick Center was not prepared to provide concessions to this amount of people. The lines were soooo long. I missed most of the opening acts waiting in line for 1 beer! Then when the lines finally died down an hour before the show ended they had ended sales of all alcohol. At 930pm. It was a bit ridiculous and I would expect much better from a venue hosting a performer of this magnitude.
Show was fantastic. They had lots of help directing traffic in but zero after the show.
Never thought I’d say it but every bit as good as Chappell maybe better! Dude slayed it. Couldn’t imagine it being any better
Sound was not good. very difficult to hear at times, feeling shared by many of those that were seated around me. At a music concert, this doesn't effect enjoyment, but at a comedy show, it just sucked
Per instructions that was provide in numerous emails was to add your tickets to your phone wallet, which I did, however the readers they were using would not 'read' the tickets in my Apple wallet. Ended up having to go into my Ticketmaster app and have them scan the bar code. Once inside concessions were a joke! Not nearly enough concession stands. ALL of the lines where WAY TOO LONG. Also, all of the lines interfered with the natural flow around the concourse, so that just made for confusion and bottlenecks all throughout. Sound system was poor and was really hard to hear all of the words each of the three comedians spoke.
The opening act (Hans Kim) was hilarious and had the four of us laughing nearly from start to finish. Tony Hinchcliffe was quite a letdown. He had a couple funny bits; but the rest was overly political and not even funny, just low blows for the sake of them. I don't think any person or political party is free from being a comedic target, and his jokes weren't smart, funny or innovative. Joe Rogan was ok. He wasn't bad and he wasn't great. I think it'd be more fun to see him in a small club vs an arena. It felt more like he was ranting about his experiences/life as a podcaster vs telling jokes. There were laughable moments for sure, and for $100/ticket, I wasn't dying in my seat laughing. Top that off with ~30-40 minute lines for beers and awful logistics of getting out of Maverik Center and the night was somewhat of a letdown
I came because i love his podcast, but was completely enamoured by his lack of humor. Perhaps he is too comfortable to experience what he needs to produce humor.
I watch Joe Rogan’s podcast and really love him so I thought it would be great to go see him to stand up. He was hilarious and it was great to see a side of him that doesn’t get represented on this podcast. Both of the comedians before him we’re awesome also.
I loved the show! I hope they come back again! My husband and I were laughing so hard we were crying!
The actual performances were amazing. The opening acts were funny and entertaining. Only downfall of this even was that everything started almost an hour late due to the high demand of concession sales. More booths should have been open to accommodate this demand. I think it would have been well known that beer sales would be through the rough for an event like this.
Great show by hans, tony and joe. Loved the not having my cell phone for the show. It was a little weird , but made me stay present with the show.
Lockdown on phones was a bit much. Couldn’t text friends that were meeting us. Beer lines were like an hour long. Joe’s material was just meh this time around. Kind of a bummer.
