Vegas! The Show at The Saxe Theater at Planet Hollywood
The only thing better than a Las Vegas show is a show about famous Vegas shows. Vegas! The Show looks back to the storied Sin City of yore with tributes to the legendary performers who made Las Vegas the epicenter of everything glitzy and glamorous about entertainment. This all-ages extravaganza offers a nostalgic nod to the Rat Pack, Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, Gladys Knight, Tony Bennett, and Sonny and Cher, along with the showgirls, musicians, dancers and "specialty" acts who keep the entertainment capital of the world spinning.
Since opening at the Saxe Theatre at Planet Hollywood in 2010, Vegas! has committed itself to true Las Vegas entertainment minus high-tech bells and whistles. Fabled hotel-casinos like the Sands, Dunes and Desert Inn sparkle once again like a Martin Scorsese movie come to life. Vegas! was written and produced by impresario David Saxe, the Las Vegas–born backstage baby of a Folies Bergère dancer and the Rat Pack's favorite bandleader. Saxe's passion for vintage Vegas is expressed through 40 onstage performers, as a high-octane 11-piece band led by Jerry Lopez blasts through hits of the '50s, '60s and '70s.
About the Show
Vegas! is introduced to the audience by Ernie, the caretaker of a "Neon Boneyard" devoted to the brilliant signage that once defined the city. Singers deliver hit-filled, lifelike tributes to the immortal memories of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. Tom Jones again wonders, "What's New Pussycat?" while Gladys Knight & the Pips take the audience for one more ride on that "Midnight Train to Georgia."
But that's not all! Interspersed through the show's 75 scintillating minutes are specialty acts including physical comedy quintet the Quiddlers, rhythmic gymnast Tamara Yerofeyeva, hula-hoop champion Mat Plendl, gravity-defying Russian bar artists the Sandou Trio, and Michael Holly, whose juggling skills extend to bowling balls, bear traps and a fiery tightwire. With its dazzling costumes, remarkable music and impressive cast, Vegas! The Show has become a legend itself. Viva Las Vegas!

This is one of the Best shows in Vegas! From start to finish the show was both entertaining and educational. The cast is amazingly talented. I would recommend and would certainly see it again.
My wife and I really enjoyed The Vegas Show. Kind of a stroll down memory lane regarding Las Vegas and its stars as well as some basic history regarding Vegas. The performers and dancers were remarkable (Rat Pack, Liberace, Tom Jones, Elvis, Sonny & Cher, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, etc. and of course the highly talented and beautiful dancers). We will definitely purchase tickets again for this show when we come on our next Vegas trip.
A little slow in the beginning but had some very very funny moments. Enjoyable show
Very entertaining show - would give it 8 on a scale of 1 -10 Great performers and classic acts
Loved the entire premise/show! Intimate setting - no bad seat Dancing was amazing ! Great tribute to the original acts of Las Vegas!!!
This was just a mix up of different acts. As a whole nothing special and the show as a whole wasn't that great and spectacular as described. I would go for another show and definitely skip this one.
The cast and orchestra are wonderful. Definitely a lot of energy and reminiscent of what really made Vegas stand out. The choreography was amazing for that small stage. I could easily imagine how the performance would be on a bigger stage and more cast. The story line is perfect. Thanks for a wonderful classical evening
Show was not as advertised. Not the "Vegas" show that it claims to be. More of a poorly impersonated show. Terrible. In addition to the poorly done show; the entire experience from start to finish was horrendous. Our tickets were prepaid and to be picked up at "Will Call"; however the theatre does not have a dedicated "Pick Up" line so we had to wait in the regular Box Office line for more than 30 minutes. Meanwhile the show was starting. Then the agent "couldn't find" our tickets. She blamed their inadequacies on Ticketmaster. We had to call the manager over who had a poor attitude as well. He actually told us that "the owners don't care if the customer is upset because they already have our money and we are just tourists who won't be back anytime soon." They even gave away our paid for seats to someone else and sat us in an entirely different section. Unprofessional operation. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY on this pathetic excuse for Vegas show.
Excellent show, highly recommend this show to any age group 6 and above. .
