The House of Blues name and history is already iconic. The Downtown Houston location is fitting and provides a journey for anyways touring the city views, urban night life, and fun night out. We enjoyed the top floor access and open space. We look forward to visiting again.
Hands down this will be my favorite concert. I’ve been too many before that we’re small bands or big artists, but Us the Duo really engages the crowd in a way I’ve never experienced. I love their music and their lyrics really do hit home, so I will be rooting for them on America’s Got Talent. Love you both and best wishes to your new baby, she’s going to be raised by two amazing parents!
Carissa and Michael Alvarado were shining with love for each other last night. It was obvious in every song and every time they looked at each other. They were also having the time of their lives! And all of that energy and love seeped into the audience! Everyone was dancing and singing and laughing and crying! The band was an awesome addition to the duo. Plus their music is fun and catchy and dance-able! I would highly recommend seeing them on this tour or any other if you get the chance!
Us The Duo was amazing as always. I could not have asked for a better concert experience.
Us the Duo was amazing when we were introduced to them at a Pentatonix show and even better for their own tour! I love how they aren't just good at putting on a show, but are talented musicians in their own right, have tons of fun, and are sweet real people! Carissa is pregnant in this show and she still didn't hold back. She is so impressive! The venue was beautiful and very nice for this show.
Had never been to this venue before and was very impressed. They have a wonderfully small and intimate setting with great sight lines and amazing sound. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Us the Duo at Sixth & I and look forward to seeing shows there in the future.
You can feel the love that they have for each other. Loved seeing them on stage and performance. Was not happy when some people sat on the floor in front of us and then stood up blocking our view.
Fabulous concert! Us The Duo sound amazing and have such fun interacting with the crowd. I liked The Shelter but I was disappointed by food options. Otherwise, a great night!
What can I say but... THEY ARE AWESOME!!! This is my 2nd time seeing them and would go again. They are a very entertaining and talented couple
Awesome show, awesome venue. The staff was amazing. Can't wait to see another show here.
So happy for them and so glad I was able to see them live!!
It was AMAZING, I love Us The Duo (well, Trio) and it was SOOOOO WORTH IT! It was amazing, and ugh and I waited 2 hours afterwards to meet them, ummm, SO WORTH IT, They are literally so sweet, and I also met new friends and stuff while I was here, and I met freaking Kate also!! So, if you are given the opportunity to see Us The Duo, please take it, you WON’T regret ANYTHING
I have seen them several times before and they are such great artists, musicians, and down-to-earth people. Can't wait for the next concert.
We love Us the Duo and Love them all the more having spent the evening with them. They were meant to play venues like The Varsity and the Varsity treated us so well! We look forward to them returning as Us the Trio!
Two very talented people. I expected a great concert and it was delivered. If you're looking for a chill show where you can enjoy the music and all, this was it. A great stage performance. It was very enjoyable. Not to mention and the band was also awesome! I had a great time.
Love everything about them! Not just performing, but the way thwy are so personable to the fans! <3
Justin & Us the Duo, wow. Came in to see Justin, we have always loved his music and were eager to listen in. And then Michael & Carissa came on stage, wow!!
Who hasn't seen their Vines or various clips on YouTube? When you listen to music these days, most everything is engineered to where you often wonder if artists and their songs truly sound as good live as they do post production. Wonder no more! We saw them first live opening for Pentatonix in OKC in 2016. They played a short set that left everyone wanting more. Fast forward a few months and Dallas was the last stop of their Just Love Tour. We splurged and went w/the Diamond VIP which was worth every bit the extra mint! From the soundcheck where they sang the Banana song to Q&A to selfies w/the fans, both Carissa and Michael were approachable, warm and energetic. We heard some of the fans comment about other artist encounters that were far less engaging and memorable. This was anything but that as it was fun watching them redo selfies until they got them just right! Afterwards, we were lead to their dressing room where they played "No Matter Where You Are" and "Safe". Speechless. Talk about a privilege to watch them harmonize perfectly but even more to feel the love they have for one another shine when they sing together, chills down the spine awesomeness is all I can say. The concern opened up with Hailey Knox who kept things jumping as she showed why she might be deemed the female loop pedal Ed Sheeran. Then Us the Duo came on. From start to finish, they brought the crowd in with sharing stories about their journey and experience from Vines to world tours. The mashup of the Bee Gee's 1977 version of "How Deep Is Your Love" with the modern dance version was genius as well. At the end of the night, what better way to wrap it up than with "No Matter Where You Are" where Carissa pounded the drum like a boss and Michael worked the guitar like a maestro does. We enjoyed every moment of it and wish these two nothing but continued musical success. The music world could use more true musicians like these two who require nothing but a tune and an instrument or two. If you find that they're coming through your town, make the effort to see them live. Your ears and heart will thank you for doing so.
Show was great!!!!!! So glad they came to charlotte!!!!
