Uriah Heep just keeps on rocking! We had the best time ever, and will go see them again if they play near Northwest Florida :)

    UH rocked!

by Spetz on 6/17/11Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Awesome show, really enjoyed the classic songs such as Easy Livin', July Morning, The Wizard and Stealin' so on so on. Saw them back in '71 at the Orlando Sports arena when I was just a radical high school pill popper. Glad we all survived those daze. And Bernie Shaw you are one charismatic singing sonobitch! Glad I went!

    See Uriah Heep!!

by fbnl on 6/17/11Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Atlanta was the opening night for the US leg of their "world tour" The guys were right on! Sounded great, and let's face it, they are not getting younger. They played for about 2 hours, and stuck with the setlist as posted online from the earlier concerts overseas. Lots of fan interaction, and the fans loved it. This venue has seating and standing room, but we were all standing most of the night.

They Came, They Rocked, They Conquered!

    by Jody50 on 6/16/11Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

It's been 30 years since I last saw Heep and they still blew me away. I also purchased a VIP ticket which allowed me to meet the guys and let me tell you they are the nicest people I've met. No ego trips with these guys. It was like we've been friends for years. Whether you're a new or old fan, they're still gonna rock you. I won't give away the set list but they did 2 of my favorite Heep songs, "Return To Fantasy" and "Bird Of Prey". Welcome back Heep! Don't wait another 30 years to come back to America.

    The Heep is back!

    by Globalroamer65 on 6/16/11Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

GREAT show Tuesday, June 14th at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, Ga! The first show of their 2011 US Tour did not disappoint to say the least! The famous Heep harmonies, deep guitars, and a new THUNDERING drummer make the lineup as good as ever. Bernie Shaw may be the best singer/performer since Freddie Mercury, with the belted out passion of Sammy Hagar! DEFINITELY see this show!

    Uriah Heep-like a Panzer doing 80

by WoodyJ on 6/16/11Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

What can I say...? The Heep was incredible. I've been a fan since the early 70's and this was my first time to see them in concert. I was not disappointed. It was a great experience. Bernie is a great front man and the rest of the band, especially Mick Box, rocked like they were 30 years younger than they are.

    Uriah Heep

by dgls on 6/16/11Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

The show was great, they put on a great show, the only problem was they had it so loud, now, I am amn old rocker but it was beyond reasonable, most of the croud was putting in ear plugs, that should have been my first clue... Again, great show , the band was very tight, just a bit on the loud side, it may have been the venue, not sure. I do go to lots of shows so I am trying not to whine... If you go tale a small set of ear plugs, Although I would hate to watch a show with them in, I would have for this show... Thanks/

    Uriah Heep

    by Bob2205 on 6/16/11Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

I really enjoyed seeing this group. I saw them in 1972 as the leadin group to Black Sabbath in Philadelphia and thought they were great. I really enjoyed seeing them again in 2011 - they still had all their energy even 40 years later. The Variety Playhouse was a great venue - intimate and good location and we could see everything onstage. Sound was loud, but hey, it was a hard rock concert - next time will sit further back. My favorite Uriah Heep song is on their first album but they didn't play it - Salisbury. Would have loved to hear that live - perhaps too mellow for a live hard rock concert. Good luck on the rest of the tour

    Uriah Heep Rocks !!!

by TCJohn on 11/12/10Durty Nellies - Palatine

Like the saying goes "Wine gets better with age", Uriah Heep has not lost their edge. The new songs are great additions to the Uriah Heep song list. They play a nice mix of the old classic's with some new. To think that Mr. Box has keep the band going for these past 40 yrs. and another Album on the way, is music to Uriah Heep fans ears! If you have even enjoied Uriah Heep, they are worth the time and effort to go and see them. There is talk of another tour next year here in the states. So no excuse, get out there and let them know you enjoy what they do. The band seems to really enjoy being on stage and give the audiance their all. Thanks to Mr. Box and all the members, for keeping the music alive and bring us more!!

    Uriah Heep Was Good.

by OldHeepFan on 11/10/10Durty Nellies - Palatine

As an old fan from the 70's, I would have preferred to hear more from Demons & Wizards (Traveller in Time, Poet's Justice) & Magicians Birthday (Blind Eye, Sweet Lorraine) and less of the later stuff, but I understand the need to keep the whole 40 years alive. The songs that were played were well done, however it seemed the vocals were lost at some of the more raucous musical parts. Musically though, the performance was excellent. Much kudos to your drummer (very forceful driver of the beats), Trevor with some incredible bass playing, & of course Mick's lead guitar which has always been great. I've always felt that Uriah Heep was one of the most underrated bands of the 70's even though there were many great bands in that decade (certainly the best band decade of my 51 years of life to date).

    Almost Perfect

by Shecruiser on 11/10/10Potawatomi Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Expo Center - Milwaukee

The whole concert was great and they played for 2 full hours! Only bad thing was they did not play one of their few biggest hits, "Sweet Loraine" I waited all night and thought they'd play it during one of their oncores but no luck. Still fantastic!

Uriah Heep Rocks better than ever

by UriahHeepRules on 11/9/10Durty Nellies - Palatine

When I signed up for a Ticketmaster account, I was asked to enter bands I wanted to see. I didn't even know if Uriah Heep was still touring, but I put them on my list. When I got the email alert, I was excited. When I saw the show, I was incredibly impressed. Each band member did a brilliant performance, far exceeding my expectations. The set list was outstanding, finishing with many memorable classics. The newer songs, which I did not know as well, were exceedingly impressive. Every band member was excellent. Trevor kicked ass on bass. Bernie was simply incredible on vocals. Russel (the new kid) had enormous energy on the drums. Phil played outrageous keyboards. Mick Box was just a wizard at the electric guitar. His smile was contagious. I signed up for the meet and greet, after the show, and it was very cool to meet the band and just hang out for a little while. For any fan of this sort of "progressive rock", this is a "must see" show. My most amusing moment was when I was asked for my (Mick Box's) autograph. I'm a short guy, but he's even shorter.

I had butterflies in my stomach as we walked in the place. I couldn't believe I was going to see Uriah Heep in 2010, let alone the amazement that I was still alive... The performance was way beyond what I expected. I was floored. Fantastic Performance, Lot's of FUN!

    Uriah Heep Rocks!!!

by dacozarts on 11/8/10Durty Nellies - Palatine

The band was excellent. Songs brought back a lot of memories. Everybody was rockin'. Durty Nellies is standing room only but they have good ventilation so even though it was packed, it was comfortable.
