    Don't sit in General Admission!

by Nofun5 on 1/31/10Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

Paid $45 to stand and try to watch Sioux hockey game. General admission is in same section as students and it's almost impossible to see the game as students think they need to stand to show some kind of school spirit....very rude for non-student paying customers who actually want to sit and watch college hockey. They need to do something about this. Will never do this again as it is currently set up.

    My first hockey game !!!

by Crazydoc on 1/31/10Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

It was my first hockey game and I think it was an amazing experience. Though the team I was rooting for - Sioux - did not win, I think I will go to another game and the Ralph is another amazing experience by itself !

I love UND hockey, but last night was pitiful. They played like a binch of sissys and I didn't even stick around to see the end. Don't get me wrong though even with this awful game I love UND fighting Sioux and will continue to attend as many games as I can. I'm even looking into buying season tickets for next year

    UND Fighting Sioux Hockey

by GopherHockeyFan on 1/11/10Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

My 12 year has decided she wants to tour the WCHA hockey arenas and take in opponents hockey games until we have covered them all. This was our first leg and as Gopher Fans we dislike the Sioux to no end, but we really had a good time. We dressed like true Sioux Fans and no one knew the difference.

I attended the men's hockey game against MN State. The game was good, I enjoyed it. It's the seating you NEED to improve. This is the third time in a row I've had to purchase upper level seating, and I mean the nose bleed section. I don't like sitting there, I feel like I'm purched on the edge of a cliff. Its very narrow, you have no leg room, you are squished up against people on either side of you and if someone needs to get out of their seat the whole row has to stand up, pick up what ever you have with. This time it was very cold so there were heavy coats to deal with. Plus people behind us were moving and kicking over beers spilling them on us. This was all very frustrating to me; especially when I could clearly see there were alot of open seats on the lower levels. What does it take to get lower level seating??? I won't attend another event there unless I can get better seating arrangements! Oh, and parking is another sore subject!!

    Seating conflicts

by Momfromnd on 1/11/10Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

The game was great, but what wasn't great was watching the people in front of us have a conflict with some students who were there to watch the game that night and they wanted their seats that they usually have for the games during the non Christmas break. The students finally relented when the ticket holders wouldn't move. I thought that during Christmas break, the students don't have seats anymore. I definately will not buy tickets for a game during Christmas break again. I don't want to have to travel 90 miles one way and get there and not have a seat.

    UND Hockey

by maxisfans on 12/13/09Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

The games were good, would have liked to see the Sioux win, though...if they're going to the Frozen Four, they need to get the lead out and skate like they care.

The holiday classic was great hockey

by BernieS5 on 11/30/09Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

The Subway holiday tourney was a great event featuring some of the top teams in college hockey. All 4 games on the weekend were very entertaining.

First time to the arena. Had great seats. Didn't get to the game early enough to experience the light show and the pregame excitement. But was fun non-the-less. Went to l'Bistro after the game. Was funny to watch my nephews get pumped when some of the players came in. They got their baseball caps signed by a few of them. Even from a couple of the cheerleaders! :) Was ready for Sat night game.

    Nothing beats college hockey!

by Nailhead58 on 11/28/09Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

It's hard to beat watching college hockey at the "Ralph". It'd be perfect if there weren't so many Fighting Sioux fans there, but it's their rink so what can you do? Seriously, it's the best barn I've ever seen a hockey game in, and the staff there does an excellent job making it a fan-friendly environment. It would've been a five-star weekend for me if my Bemidji State Beavers had won both games they played, but they did beat the "used to be number one in the country" Miami Redhawks so that's something. All in all a great time.

    Beaver Nation Alive and Well

by burro on 11/28/09Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

Another exciting hard fought win for the Beavers! Todays games will be outstanding and Miami's Redhawks could leave the Ralph with 2 losses. Go Beavers and Sioux!!!

We have season tickets, but purchased 8 more seats for out-of -town friends and relatives for the Saturday night game. For some, it was their first college hockey game. While the Soiux lost that night, all agreed that the Ralph and the game experience as a whole was fantastic!

Fighting Sioux hockey. That's more than enough said about this event, but it was against the Gophers so it made even more electrifying.. The atmosphere of the Ralph Englasted Arena is unforgettable. The REA arena is more than an amazing place to take in a hockey game or what ever event you plan on going to.

by Steelers309 on 10/13/09Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks

I brought my boy and one of his friends to the Sioux hockey game 10-10-09. It was a first for all of us to see the Sioux play hockey. We all had an unbeleivable time. The fans were crazy and the atmosphere was chilling.
