Michigan Wolverines Men's Basketball History
The University of Michigan first fielded a men's basketball program during the 1908-09 season, but a 1-4 record and sparse attendance led to its cancellation after one season. The program restarted in 1917, and by 1921 Michigan had its first of 15 Big Ten regular-season championships. In 1965, Michigan reached its first national championship game, followed by their second appearance in 1976 under coach Johnny Orr. The Wolverines secured their sole national championship in 1989 with an overtime thriller over Seton Hall.
The "Fab Five" starting lineup, which included future Hall of Famer Chris Webber and two-time NBA champion Juwan Howard, led Michigan to national championship appearances in 1992 and 1993. Michigan returned to the March Madness final in 2013 and 2018. Meanwhile, the Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team has notched three Big Ten tournament championships between 2017 and 2025 as well as March Madness runs to the Elite Eight in 2021 and the Sweet Sixteen in 2022 and 2025.

Clean friendly environment. Food was a little pricey
The game was so exciting and seeing it from the 12th row at LCA was a real treat! We took our two grandsons and they truly enjoyed the experience. Entry was easy, parking was close and safe, and the whole vibe at the Arena was memorable!
HAD a great time at the game very large crowd and real peaceful
Everything was perfect and my family really enjoyed the game.
Had a good experience overall, venue, staff, shuttle were all good. One star off for not allowing my binoculars into the arena despite that not being listed on the policy section of the website. Large cameras are not allowed but nothing about binoculars. Had to go all the way back to the car.
