I went to the U of E and Butler game last Saturday afternoon at the new Ford Center in Evansville, IN. What a great experience, U of E won in overtime! But even at that, with the game at the new Ford Center it was a fantastic experience. There is an endless stream of advertising coming at you with the banner and the scorers bench, but it was interesting and kept your attention. During the timeouts something was always going on to keep your attention. I do not believe there is a bad seat in the place. The parking was really not a problem, except as it gets dark downtown...it may be worth the $4.00 parking fee in a public lot. I also really didn't understand why they use bleachers on the one side that was tall enough to block seats. They had about 4 sections covered with a tarp because of this. It would seem if the bleachers were similar to the student section bleachers those seats could be used. Great game, great arena, well done Evansville!
It was freakn awesome! Not a bad seat in house! And ue won! Not much better!
Even if the band wasn't blocking the view of the court, the layout of the basketball court on a hockey arena floor would make these seats terrible. These seats should be blocked off like they are on the other end of the arena.
I really liked the action and all. It was a great ball game and with the Aces winning and all it was even better. I would highly recommend everyone going to a basketball game with the ACES.
Last game for UE men's basketball team in Roberts Stadium. Part of city's history and had to see it.
the place looked and felt like it used to. It was great to see evansville support our team.
great venue. give it back to bosse for their homegames.
Great atmosphere, large crowd, good fans, and free parking!
It was a great game. They could have used more workers in the concession area but besides that it was great.
UNC was awesome to see locally. Unfortunately, I don't think UE was even in the same building. Parking was inadequate at best. Restrooms were dirty with cloged toilets and were showing their 50+ years of age.
I really enjoyed the game, but with such a big school in town I expected it to be a more exciting event for the crowd. Overall it was a great experience.
