We decided to go last minute and are so glad that we went! The dancers and the performances were amazing! Nice variety of dance groups and very entertaining! Hope to see another great performance next year!
This is my 3rd year in a row going and I LOVE it! It is especially wonderful to have kids perform! They all did so well. If you love dance you will not want to miss this next year!
This was a surprise gift for my family for Christmas and they loved it !!! My husband and two teen aged daughters kept thanking me for taking them and it really started us into the Christmas spirit . The whole cast and crew was amazing and I can't wait to see it again .....
My daughter and I recently enjoyed the Ulster County Ballet Company's production of "A Christmas Carol" for the 2011 holiday season at UPAC. We loved this show. I was impressed with the choreography, costumes, lighting and prop effects and of course, the beauty of this skilled ballet company. Also, the perfect balance between the unseen narrator verbally leading us through the story, and the choreography and sensitivity of the performers, telling the story their way. I was especially moved by the piece in which Greed slowly seduced Scrooge away from his lady love. Brilliant. A special acknowledgment as well goes to all the children in this production who performed beautifully!
I enjoy bring my family to see the Christmas Carol every year because I have Family in it and I fall on my mothers Birthday weekend every year. I have been taking my oldest daughter and my niece to the show every year since they where little. We love watching the Christams Carol....
Turning A Christmas Carol into a ballet performance was inventive. The first half and the second half did not seem to be cohesive. The second half was nicely choreographed and we really enjoyed it. The first half of the performance could have included more movement and was weak. The costumes were the highlight. They were incredible and worked well with the movement of the dancers.
This was my first ballet and I loved it, my boyfriend really enjoyed it too! It was put together really well, the music, singing, and dancing were beautiful. I plan on going next year.
We enjoyed the show very much.. It was our first time to a ballet and really didnt know what to expect, but I can tell you all 3 of us where most pleasently surprised. I would recommended to everyone. It was truly great.
I took my 6 yr old son to see the show, it was absolutely amazing and he loved it! It's an annual event and will definitely be going next year. The Dancers were amazing and the Actors were phenominal. You would never know this is a local production.
We were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of this production. The first act brought tears to our eyes! The dancing and acting were great. The entire family enjoyed it immensely!
