This was an AWESOME event for any type of ufc fan to experience. The setup of the convention center looked incredible, had something for everybody. That being said the autograph section of the event was really a disappointment. I am aware that the event says first come first serve for the autographs, but you really didn’t have much of a chance if you weren’t VIP. When we arrived we were third row in line for stage one 9:30-11:30 autographs (probably 50-75 people in front of us). It took until 11:15 to get on stage and get the autographs which was mostly due to VIP fans constantly being let before any general admission. I totally understand if you pay a ton for VIP you deserve to go first that wasn’t my problem, my problem was the system they had to get people on/off the stage efficiently just was not working. They were probably averaging 5 people on stage every 5-8 minutes which was due to them not enforcing any of their rules to the fighters. They said fighters weren’t allowed to take pictures or sign multiple things however it became EVERY single person was getting a picture with every single fighter as well as multiple autographs which was AWESOME once you got on stage but extremely frustrating when you were waiting in a line that only moved a couple feet every 10 minutes. The most frustrating part was that by the time we got off stage one at 11:15, there was a line of approximately 300-500 people already behind us… which left you with really zero chance of getting any autographs from the fighters on the 12-2 session. There was plenty of other awesome things to do, MANY fans were frustrated with the same issues at the autograph sessions. Everything else at the event was incredible, I’d highly recommend going!!
