Rentschler Field is a small intimate stadium with great views from every seat. I was a little bummed when I got the tickets thinking they might be nose bleed. While they indeed were 7 rows up in the "upper deck" the seats were ideal. And you can get a Guiness! Doen't get better than that. Heels getting a gift at the end to pull it out in an otherwise poorly played game made the trip worth it!
Rentscler Field is a great place to watch a game. No bad seats. Parking was a snap, large lots, good for tailgating,extremely easy to leave very little traffic UConn does a terrific job. I will definitely be back this season.
Weather wise, it was not a good day but playing football was no problem, Huskies played a great defensive game but tired in the fourth quarter. I do not know the extent of the 'holding' call but it would have to be very blatent to be called at that time. The officials just DO NOT make that call to decide a game with one minute left when it had NO bearing on the final score other than to give the victory to North Carolina!! It's a tough one to swallow but let's use it as a stepping stone as it wasn't a league game...
UCONN PLAYED IN A TOUGH DEFENSIVE BATTLE VS, 19TH RATED UNC, BUT UNFORTUNATELY CAME OUT WITH A 2 POINT LOSS. THE 2 POINTS CAME BY WAY OF A SELDOM SEEN PENALTY INFRACTION WHICH OCCURED IN THE ENDZONE, HANDING UNC THE HARD EARNE VICTORY. STADIUM VENUE WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE EXCEPT FOR LONG LINES AT FOOD AND BEVERAGE WINDOWS. NEXT TIME DEFINITELY TAILGATING PRIOR TO THE GAME!
Tailgating and football doesn't get any better. Grab your friends and you'll have a great time.
Would have preferred a win, but happy there were fewer commercials this year compared to last. Enjoyed the UConn Marching Band pregame, halftime and post game shows. Gen. admission main road to parking is muddy, and walk to stadium is long, but all the tailgate parties make the walk entertaining.
UCONN games are always action packed. We love to go!
The parking is too far from stadium. no shuttle bus
Great game was close right to the end.Are seats were great,the game was sold out.The only thing I did not like was that uconn lost.
Game was great, weather was overcast and drizszled. The referereeing was terrible.
What can I say, the game was awesome. Even with the inclement weather the game was practically sold out, however what would have made this experience even better, would have been an option to purchase upgraded parking for this particular venue. General Parking was close to 1.5 miles away from stadium at cost of $12.00. I would have liked the option of paying extra for upgraded parking when I purchased game tickets. For this reason I can't give 5 stars.
It was a great game and so much energy and excitement for the entire first half of the game!! UCONN defense were on fire, and it looked as if UCONN was going to pull off the upset and avenge their loss last year to the Tar Heels. But then the Fourth Quarter happened and the game started to slip away... We still hoped UCONN would make that one last big play, but they were unable to do so. For playing a #19 ranked team, UCONN controlled the game until the very end. Looking forward to the next game. GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!
Was a great game between Uconn and North Carolina. Any seat in the stadium is a good one. Facilities at the stadium are first class. Parking may be a walk but the organization of parking is good.
This game was terrific--but what a sad loss for UConn!
