  • Are you kidding me?

Door were supposed to open at 7. They opened at like 8. There was hardly an opening act, Taco played like 3 songs on his iTunes. Then Tyler came out and halfheartedly "performed" for an hour, playing only two of the new songs, which were already released. Anti-climactic last number. No charisma. Poor crowd work. Sucked. Not worth the $32 I paid on Ticketmaster.

  • 50 minute set? Really?!?

by Theconcertmademeflacid on 3/15/13Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 1 out of 5

The doors to the show was supposed to open at 7 but never opened until 8 pm. Once getting inside it became evident there was no opener for the show. Tyler the creator came on at 9 and did short versions of songs from his catalog. At 9:50 the show ended and the lights went out. He tickets cost $30 dollars and I drove 2 hours to see Tyler perform I was incredibly underwhelmed. Long story short, save yourself some cash and buy the record which will be cheaper, more thought out, and more than likely longer than a 50 minute set.

It was terrible I stood in line for 2 hours after doors opened in the freezing cold once the concert started Tyler forgot the worlds to almost every song and it only lasted about 45 minutes I would go back if you payed me a billion dollars that's how much it sucked

  • Tyler the creator didn't sing a whole song

    by Topdog13 on 3/15/13Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 1 out of 5

I took my son to this concert. He loved it but I didn't . He only played for and hour and didn't even sing a whole song. I drive 4 hours for an hour concert and the place was nasty and they allowed the people to smoke pot in there. Don't get me wrong I like rap music but this concert. Sucked

  • Tyler Tore It Down!

    by bighubb1980 on 3/15/13Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

I love small venues for hip hop. Tyler was awesome, you could tell he was really having a good time and that he loves what he does. Yonkers and Sandwiches were amazingly well performed. All in all a great show. I can't wait for Ghostface! ! !

Second time seeing them and it was absolutely insane, as expected ! Mosh pits, stage diving, crowd surfing, OF knows how to do a live show w/o a doubt ! Asher Roth was sick too :]

  • Thank you Peter and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

by Mic17 on 7/30/12Best Buy Theater - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The entire venue was incredible, there was not a minute where i wasn't happy while being there, each preformance made me more excited than the last. The suprise of all of Odd Future being there was greater than anything. Since that night I have wanted to re-live it every night. I will never forget it , and if it ever happens again I would not miss it for the world.

I love every minute of Odd Future's performance. You could feel the love and energy in the air that night.

  • Best music event I've ever been to

by Tats8 on 7/28/12Best Buy Theater - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I can't even describe how amazing the night was. Such a great vibe and energy in the audience. Despite the absolute downpour while waiting in line, everyone was ready for the show. The opening acts were pretty good (overall). The first opening artist was a female rapper who had a little trouble engaging the audience, because none of her songs were familiar: she hadn't sampled music we knew either. It was a little awkward, but as the second rapper went on (who no one knew that well either), people got more in the mood and ready for the main artists. Asher Roth went on and absolutely exceeded and blew away my expectations. I hadn't realized what a great performer he was going to be, expecting 'I Love College' to be his opening song and for it to go downhill from there, and I was completely wrong. He opened with many of his lesser known (but much better) songs, and even invited four people on stage. Each took a stage dive (including Roth) and the crowd went wild. Raekwon came on next, and got everyone pumped up and chanting 'WuTangClan! WuTangClan!". The host was about to introduce the main performers, Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt (of Odd Future), when he began saying, "I know you guys expected to see Tyler and Earl tonight....But we've got a little surprise." Suddenly, ALL of Odd Future was there (all the way from LA), and the crowd went wild. Two fights broke out in the mosh pits but were quickly stopped and everyone went back to enjoying the music. One highlight was when OF played 'Rella', which got everyone singing along and putting their hands in the air. Another favourite moment was Tyler's 'Yonkers' (which the other members rapped along with him), and Odd Future's 'Orange Juice', which got everyone dancing and going wild. The night ended a bit abruptly, but in classic OFWGKTA fashion, with Tyler basically saying "that's it." One of the best concerts I've EVER been to. Definitely recommend. Odd Future were AMAZING performers, and I hope to attend another one of their concerts soon

  • AMAZING

by Fenske on 7/28/12Best Buy Theater - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Favorite concert of all time. All of the acts were at their best. Smoke DZA killed it. Raekwon played all the classics. And EarlWolf... Honored to have been there for their first headlining concert together. I could tell the exact moment earl got into it. They started playing earl and Tyler made him hold the mic to the crowd and the crowd knew every word. And that just set him off. Amazing
