About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

  • Great concert

by Heath on 4/9/24Kia Forum - InglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Was an awesome concert! The warm up band was amazing, they had a fantastic stage presence, made us laugh and had great music.

  • Disappointing

by Dan B on 4/8/24Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San DiegoRating: 2 out of 5

Set list was the worst… Didn’t play even half of the big hits that most of the fans came out to hear. And didn’t even come back out for an encore!!! What a bust….

  • Absolutely amazing show

by JC on 4/8/24Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

I definitely plan on seeing him again. What an amazing show. I took my son with me for his first concert and he was blown away

  • Outstanding performance

by Dara Shields on 4/8/24Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

The eagerness of Tyler’s voice and the raw, unhinged talent of the whole band was a night to remember.

  • As Good as it gets.

Tyler is an amazing artist and his live performance was awesome.

  • Fantastic!

by Kris on 4/8/24Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing Tyler Childers in person and he did not disappoint. In fact, it was better than I expected- he was so appreciative of the fans, he put 100% into each and every song, the band was great, the music was wonderful, really zero complaints. Even though the lights and special effects were really good too, my favorite part was when it was just him and his guitar- the man doesn’t need all the extras-he’s just so damn talented. Anxious to catch him again live!!

  • Awesome, Fabulous, The Best

by Faye on 1/9/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Tyler several times and listen to his music daily. He is always awesome, never disappoints. He was just fabulous at this show. He seemed so relaxed, so humble and repeatedly thanked everyone for coming. Definitely one of his best concerts. Would be awesome to make this a New Years Eve tradition at Rupp!!!!!!!! LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

  • Best Show Period!

by Geddings on 1/8/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler always puts on a perfect show. Full of passion, and he's a true musician. We've saw him twice in 2023. The best way to end the year was listening to him.

  • Absolutely Fantastic!!

by Tiffany Castle on 1/7/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Wouldn’t want to spend my New Year’s Eve any other way! Had a great time and the sound was perfect!

  • Love Tyler, buuuuut….

by Gracie on 1/6/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 3 out of 5

We were sitting so far to the left that we were basically behind the stage and couldn’t see the screens or anything. Paid too much money to just only listen to the show

  • Real soul filled music

by Jack on 1/6/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was perfect, all of the songs were filled with sound and you can tell the amount of care and emotion that is put into these songs. It was a great show and the band sounded phenomenal, being there on new years was something special but besides that the concert was absolutely fantastic.

  • Great experience

by Jeff on 1/4/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

  • The best

by mandishanell on 1/4/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

NYE for a Kentucky homecoming for Tyler Childers & the Food Stamps was hands down the best. The energy & the emotion of the performance plus the energy spread to the crowd, singing their hearts out. There was hoopin' & hollerin', tears, laughter, whoops of joy....just an experience you cannot put into words. Tyler is also one of the few artists who sounds the same live, actually better live, than recorded. He is the real deal all the way around. Charlie Brown Superstar is always an added bonus.

  • Watched Tyler Grow Up

by JO on 1/4/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Being present at Rupp Arena to watch Tyler Childers in both February 2020 (when he opened for Sturgill Simpson) and New Year's Eve 2023/2024 has been both a privilege and honor. I watched Tyler grow up and attended many of his local performances in Paintsville, KY, when he was a teenager. My daughter graduated high school with him in 2009. My experience watching him this year was joy . . . so very proud of the man he has become. He has not forgotten his upbringing or his roots. He and his band share the music with the fans. The fans LOVE him and sing along. My heart swelled with pride when he sang about the Gospel. Tyler thanked his fans for taking time away from our busy schedules to spend New Year's Eve with him. No, Tyler, THANK YOU! May the good Lord bless you abundantly!

  • FANTASTIC!!

by LeeAnn on 1/4/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

He put on a FANTASTIC show! Probably ranks in my top 5 concerts ever! Definitely go see him if you have the slightest inkling!! We saw him on NYE for our anniversary and it was one of the best times we’ve had! Great experience and performance!

Tyler Childers is a master performer, musician, vocalist and human being. This was an incredible “hometown” show that I’ll never forget.
