About

Rapper Tyga has graced many big stages in recent years, opening concerts on arena tours headed up by huge stars like Chris Brown and Lil Wayne. He has also emerged as a headliner in his own right, however, with fans grabbing tickets to see him up-close-and-personal on the club circuit as he supported his 2013 album, Hotel California. Tyga -- short for Thank You God Always -- is the stage name of Southern California native Michael Stevenson, whose best-known single is "Rack City." His first high-profile appearance was on a remix of the Fall Out Boy song "Arms Race" that also featured his cousin Travie McCoy. That led to a live appearance performing the song on the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. Tyga broke out with his first single, 2008's "Coconut" (also featuring McCoy), which appears on his first studio album, No Introduction. He followed it up with 2012's Careless World album, which featured appearances by heavyweights like Drake and Snoop Dogg and reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.

    Closer to My Dreams Tour

by Taylorfam on 8/8/11Close To My Dreams Tour - Atlanta

The artist were really good. A good concert for "tweens and teens" The venue was horrible, Masquarade, not a place to have that kind of concert. The concert was packed with so many people and Masquarede was at least 110 degrees inside, the bathrooms were filthy and this is before the show even started. Parking very limited Great Show, however, I will never go back to Masquarede again.

This was a event that my daughters, ( 14 and 9) enjoyed. They were able to see some of the performers up close after the show.

    Great Concert!

    by tj12345 on 8/4/11Cramton Auditorium - Washington

This was a great concert (from what I could hear!). Security and crowd control were horrible! We were seated in the first row of the tier section; my daughter had a hard time seeing the show because of people kept getting out of their seats and standing in front of us for extended periods of time. I spent more time asking people to move than actually watching the concert. We loved Mindless Behavior and Diggy Simmons and would have liked for them to stay on longer, the opening acts Trevante and Jawan Harris were pretty good. We left during Tyga's performance, as did several concertgoers.

    Wonderful display of young talent!!

    by Angelpie67 on 8/3/11Cramton Auditorium - Washington

This concert was my 9-yr old daughter's 2nd concert experience and while the venue left a little to be desired (even though Howard is my alma mater), the performers did a great job. My daughter's favorite group of all times, Mindless Behavior, left her spellbound and totally spent from the singing, dancing and pure enjoyment of watching their performance. I was a little hesitant about bringing her out to the tour for fear the rest of the performances may not turn out to be age-appropriate, but I'm happy to say that everything was kept very tasteful. My only regret is not staying for, or having the opportunity to pay for the autograph session. As the VIP packages are becoming more popular, perhaps that's something they can do at other venues they will visit. To all the performers...keep up the good work & God bless!

The concert was ok. It was wonderful for my daughter. I was glad to take her to her first concert. The performance was good for the younger crowd. The DJ make sure the audience was hyped up for the next performances. Overall the experience was good.

    My daughter is still dazzled!!!

    by MsDiva525 on 8/2/11Cramton Auditorium - Washington

My daughter felt the artists should have stayed a little longer. Their meet and greet was cancelled and she was very disappointed.

    TYGA WAS FANTASTIC!!!!

by aero70 on 8/2/11House of Blues Boston - Boston

It wasnt me I bought the tickets for my daughter & 7 friends. She has been to the house of blues several times for shows. She just couldnt wait to go to see TYGA thinking he is so cute.Anyway all went better then she ever dreamed of. She said the crowd was much more crowded and pushy than last shows but come to find out it was all worth it. I went to pick her up and the emotions went wild. This was a first concert for a couple of her friends and they said they had the time of thier life!! She was on cloud nine being able to speak and hug TYGA and have a picture taken with him and even got her phone signed!! It was a dream come true and a VERY memorable event.

I thought the concert was really good ! Even tho I stood for about 4 hours it was worth it. I was excited when Ciara came out because that was unexpected. I hope that everyone who performed in this concert comes back to Boston really soon <3

    Tyga Tyga

    by Kujjo on 7/24/11Eagles Club/The Rave/Eagles Ballroom - Milwaukee

OMG The concert was just amazing! I wasn't familiar with the first two performers but they were also entertaining to watch for openers. I was so happy to see my favorite artist of the night Tyga perform at the end I was so pumped. He was playful with the fans even allowing 15+ girls on stage whereas the other performers only brought on 1 girl each. I was so amazed by his entire performance.

I haven't been to the concert yet but I have a few questions I was hoping someone could answer. Uhmm what is the order of the performances......and does Tyga cuss a lot in his performance or is it mainly clean? Also, does he perform whole songs? -Thankz
