TYE TRIBBETT IN CONCERT:

Gospel songbird Tye Tribbett possesses an uplifting spirit that can't be matched -- his energy radiates into the crowd as he performs "He Turned It" and "If He Did It Before (Same God)" with an infectious spunk at his live shows. Whether he's preaching the Word or backed by the choir-like group Greater Anointing, Tribbett sings with passion and enthusiasm, giving it his all with every performance. Back on the road, he'll treat fans to an incredible live show during his upcoming set at SpiritFest 2014: Real Fathers, Real Men, where he'll perform alongside Kirk Franklin and more.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Tye Tribbet got his start as the frontman of Greater Anointing, a.k.a. GA, in 1997, establishing a huge cult following early on with high-energy local gigs in their New Jersey hometown. Their exciting live shows attracted the attention of producers Buster and Shavoni, who recruited GA to sing on the Prince of Egypt soundtrack a year later -- a gig that launched them to success virtually overnight. Since the release of their 2004 debut Life, Tribbett and company have toured with country greats like Faith Hill and Tim McGraw and performed alongside some of music's biggest legends including Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Gloria Estefan. Their modern gospel music challenges the traditional sounds of the genre, and their ability to push sonic boundaries earned them two Grammy Awards for the 2013 release Greater Than. Tribbett takes the stage solo on his latest tour as he preaches the Word through his music, and he'll treat fans to a hit-filled setlist at SpiritFest 2014: Real Fathers, Real Men.

    So the ticket mentioned the event being 12-4pm and the artist were Kearra Sheard, Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker and Tye Tribbett when my boyfriend and I arrived that wasn’t the case. This was a bday trip because his favorite artist is The Tribbett and to get there and see a whole different set up was really crazy. Kearia didn’t get on until 5:30 and Tye was last and we didn’t even get to see him because our flight was leaving out at 8pm. So although the upcoming artist/performers were GREAT, there should’ve been a better explanation of details maybe. We were literally there for HOURS to not even see Fred Hammond or The tribbett was very annoying!!

    What an amazing concert!! Tye Tribbett closing out the show was the right choice. My husband and I had a great time partying with likeminded people under the stars. I can't wait for next year.

    This was a wonderful concert. All the gospel artists were wonderful. Tye Tribett brought the energy he always does and I was here for it. I look forward to him returning to VA again soon!

    It was a beautiful day and the music was amazing!!! I took my daughters and we experienced such great moments together as mother and daughters. Definitely in our memory banks as the best time ever

    The two gospel choir's were so good! I was shocked and shook! I'm new to the area, so i hd no idea what to expect; they represented their school so well! And Tye Tribbett was just the icing on the cake! His presence along with his choir was just an experience of its own. My family listens to his music daily because its up beat and gives so much energy. He brought all that and more to this concert! Wow! We are glad we went!

    I have witnessed praise & worship to its fulness & that didn't stop completely. But it started upon arrival when i paid for VIP parking but didn't get it b/c they let friends park there with no enforcement. Lastly, the artist were praising to the highest but the sound was too distorted-, it made the music awful! No more concerts there.

    How amazing to see all of my favorite artists in one show. To God be the Glory. This is going to be an awesome concert and worship experience.
