Tycho in Concert
Tycho is an audio visual project, band and the alias of graphic artist and musician Scott Hansen, aka ISO50.
As Tycho, Scott Hansen blends swirling melodies into vaguely triumphant arcs that crisscross between stuttering beats and vocal samples, creating rolling sonic landscapes that extend into the horizon. The San Francisco based Hansen began releasing music in the early 2000’s with The Science of Patterns EP. His first full-length, Sunrise Projector, came out in 2004, and the critical acclaim continued in 2006 with the release of Past Is Prologue. In 2011 Hansen’s meticulous process saw the release of Dive, the first record in a trilogy that was followed by Awake in 2014 and the GRAMMY® nominated Epoch in 2016.
Hansen expanded the scope of his project with the addition of vocalist Saint Sinner on 2019’s Weather, Tycho’s second GRAMMY® nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. That release was quickly followed by its instrumental companion record Simulcast, a collaboration with alt-R&B artist rum.gold and the Weather Remixes project all in 2020. In addition to his original works, Tycho has remixed Odesza & Leon Bridges, Maggie Rogers, Spoon, The Knocks & Muna, Little Dragon, Thievery Corporation and Death Cab For Cutie.
Poolside opener!!! The whole show was excellent from beginning to end!!
A wonderdul evening with my favorite musicians! I look forward to my next concert
An awesome show! Worth the trip from Maryland to Philadelphia. I can’t wait to see Tycho again (:
This band's music has saved my life more times than I can count. It is almost a religious experience to see them live. Don't take my word for it, experience them for yourselves. There is noone else out there like them.
Brought my 15 year old son as well (a Porter/Madeon fan) and he loved it too! What a great show. Tycho musicians were as tight and precise as ever and Saint Sinner is a beautiful, mesmerizing addition to the music. Compliments to Scott and the visuals team as well. Perfect visual/light compliments to the Tycho music that had us both fist-bumping throughout!
Tycho is incredible. I've seen him and his band perform at so many different venues. Meridian hall was by far the worst. The sound was completely off. We had seats up in the Orchestra and had to cover our ears for the first few songs because the frequency was so harsh. We eventually moved to the lower bowl at the back but it wasn't much better. We ended up leaving early. I've lived in Toronto my whole life and I will likely never return to this venue for any musical performance.
We got high before the concert and the music, light show and overall performance were out of this world amazing!
Tycho fills my heart, mind and soul every time I listen to his music! His performances are indescribable, something everyone in the world should experience at least once.
Paramount is always a wonderful venue, the crowd was perfectly manageable & Poolside/Tycho both had great shows with lovely audio & visual experiences to match. One of my favorite shows I’ve been to in the past few months!
Great drinks, great crowd and wonderful music. Loved it
Great show, great sound, great Weather, great crowd!
Amazing new songs love the vocals and set production.
Tycho was really good. Poolside was just ok... I thought Poolside was 2 guys but only one was there.
Tycho has their sound dialed in and their visuals were captivating while being stretched out across the Greek venue. Great place to see a show in Berkeley. Can't wait to see Tycho again!
So easy to see at the Greek. Totally relaxed crowd. Awesome music. Great evening!
Listening to them live is dream like! The positive vibes are always flowing abound at their concerts.
Echo Stage was the perfect venue for Tycho's audio and visual show. I will definitely be seeing them again when they come through.
The sound these guys put out is so impressive. It was great to feel it live on a bigger scale
I had a fantastic night! The opening act (Beacon) was also great - I had never heard of them before tonight, but after hearing them open for Tycho, I am now a fan! Tycho did an extended set (with a break in-between) but they did all of the songs I would have hoped they would do, and more! Both bands were excellent, but I just wish the time printed on the ticket were more accurate. The ticket said 7pm. Doors opened at 6pm (which is understandable), but there was no mention that there was an opening act (again, they were great, but I didn't even know who they were until I looked them up). Tycho didn't actually start playing until 9:17pm. The only problem with that was, I ended up getting out of the show around 11:00pm, and I missed the last train home - I wasn't expecting to be there that long - but I did have a great time, and both bands were excellent.
The sound quality at the fox was amazing. It was loud as a concert should be but wan't overwhelming. Tycho's live set was really something to behold.
