A NEW YEAR’S DAY CELEBRATION!

Unwind, replenish and kick into a New Year!

Geelong has a sparkling new boutique event designed to welcome the new year in style with the announcement of Twice As Nice.

Twice As Nice is an all-inclusive New Year’s Day party curated for those seeking an alternative to traditional New Year’s Eve events or a recovery day!   It offers truly sumptuous food, exquisite hand-made cocktails and premium beverages with a music mix of laid back and more contemporary tunes from the sensational Sneaky Sound System plus some of Australia’s coolest DJ’s.

Presented by Roundhouse Entertainment, the team behind a day on the green, this will be the first of its kind in the region and will be held at Mt Duneed Estate on 1 January 2017 between 3.00pm and 10.30pm.

What’s perfect about Twice As Nice is that it offers an all-inclusive experience, so once you’re in, there’s nothing else to spend.   Leave the wallet at home and be indulged by carefully curated tunes with fine wine, cocktails, craft beers and high-end food offerings.

To create the perfect space the beautiful indoor barrel room of Mt Duneed’s winery building will be transformed into relaxed rustic chic with large communal tables, cocktail rounds, bar stools and lounges.

Outside on the adjoining lawn area next to the vines will be a stage and a garden bar decked with tables and chairs shaded with large umbrellas. There we’ve assembled five hot DJ’s to provide the entertainment for the day with the one-and-only multi platinum outfit Sneaky Sound System plus Yolanda Be Cool, Indian Summer, Kid Kenobi and Grand Master Baitz playing Prince.

Twice Is Nice is also thrilled to welcome Geelong FC legend Corey Enright as special guest DJ.  Enright is an avid music fan and will be making his debut on the decks teaming up with friends and local Geelong DJ legends Chook and Moluck.

Melbourne caterers Damm Fine Food will be serving up cool festival food from stalls throughout the venue all afternoon and evening. Think giant Paella Pans, NY Burger Grill, Oyster Shucking Bars, A Taco + Tortilla Stand, Healthy Salad Boxes, Cones of Fish n Chips and Gelato with Berries and Chilli Popcorn to keep you well fed all day long.

To match the Damm Fine Food will be some damn fine beverages, served all day! Cocktails like Moscow Mule, Spice Mojito, Aperol Spritz, Tom Collins and Pimms; spirits include Ketel One Vodka, Tanqueray Gin, Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum; beers are Corona, Peroni, Petavel Road Pale Ale & Golden Ale and of course there’s Mt Duneed’s sparkling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Shiraz.

So you can graze, taste, sample and savour to your heart’s content!

Dress?  Twice as nice of course!

Twice As Nice has a strictly limited capacity to ensure everyone has a comfortable, relaxed and hassle-free day.  Get your friends together and celebrate a brand new year at Twice As Nice 2017!

THE TWICE AS NICE ARTISTS

SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM

The band signalled their arrival in 2006 with their self-titled, triple platinum ARIA award-winning album and have never looked back.  2008’s “2” and 2011’s “From Here To Anywhere” firmly established them on the international scene. Lead singer Connie Mitchell has also lent her vocals and lyrics to albums from superstars Jay‐Z, Kanye West and Snoop Dogg. This year sees their first major release in over four years “I Ain’t Over You”. It’s true Sneaky Sound System - soaring vocals, beguiling lyrics and exhilarating grooves.  Expect a first-class show from our headliners.

YOLANDA BE COOL

Bondi boys Andy & Matt, AKA Yolanda Be Cool’s breakthrough track “We No Speak Americano” was #1 in 20 countries, sold more than five million copies and amassed more than 200 million Youtube views. Follow up albums “Ladies and Mentalmen” and “Sweat It Out” consolidated their infectious mix of underground cool and pop sensibility. 2015 saw the release of platinum selling single "Sugar Man" (a remix of the Rodriguez classic) and “Soul Makossa” (Money).

INDIAN SUMMER

Already becoming festival favourites for their genre-hopping sets and besuited antics, it's summer time all year with these guys. Recently they’ve done two out of control Australian tours, Falls Festival, Field Day, Nina Las Vegas’ ‘Presents’ Tour and Splendour In The Grass.  Couple this love with spins from Flume and Salva on BBC Radio1, support from Triple J and FBi and an inclusion in ‘producer to watch’ lists by UK’s Mixmag and MTV’s ‘In The Mix’ and Indian Summer are destined for big things.

KID KENOBI

Despite the countless accolades, awards, records and firsts that have been the hallmark of Kid Kenobi’s illustrious DJ career - including being named Australia’s favourite DJ for a record number 3 years from 2003 – 2005 and knocking up over 80 remixes for some of the world’s biggest names in dance, pop and rock - Kid Kenobi shows no sign of slowing down!   In 2016 the Kid celebrates 20 fabulous years behind the decks.

GRAND MASTER BAITZ

As the resident DJ at the popular a day on the green events, the Grand Master’s funky outfits and good vibrations are huge crowd pleasers.  With diverse sets ranging from retro, funk, classic rock, pop, chill out and lounge, the Grand Master is also in big demand in clubs in London, Sweden and Finland. The Grand Master’s set will be dedicated to one of the icons of music, Prince.

COREY ENRIGHT

Geelong FC legend, holder of the club record for most senior games, 6 x All Australian, 3 x Premiership player, 2 x club Best & Fairest.  Avid music fan.  Amateur DJ. Will be ably assisted by local Geelong DJ’s and friends Chook & Moluck.
