Indie rockers Twenty One Pilots continue to bring the ruckus with their hard-hitting, rap-infused jams. Whether lead singer Tyler Joseph is spitting heavy flows on "Holding On To You" or Josh Dun is hammering out a drum solo on their radio hit "House of Gold", the duo knows how to put on an animated, passionate live performance every time. Twenty One Pilots in Concert
Ohio-based band Twenty One Pilots got their start in 2009 when Tyler Joseph, Nick Thomas, and Chris Salih met in college and produced, recorded, and released their self-titled debut themselves. After the departure of Thomas and Salih, Joseph recruited Josh Dun for the project, resulting in its current duo configuration. With the release of their second album Regional At Best, the band attracted attention from execs at Fueled By Ramen and were signed in 2012. They made their major label debut the following year with 2013's Vessel, which reached No. 10 on the Alternative Albums Chart and featured the radio-friendly track "Holding on to You". Since then, the group has toured alongside Fall Out Boy, Neon Trees, and Walk the Moon, made several primetime television appearances, and played sold-out shows on their Quiet is Violent World Tour -- all in a few short years. With their poetic lyrics, driving music, and amazing stage presence, Twenty One Pilots deliver unforgettable performances for their fans every time.

The people in the mosh pit area had just as much fun as the people watching the show from the balcony. Twenty one pilots is great at incorporating their fans into their music/show. I am so privileged to have been a part of this performance and would love to go back.

Their stage presence was spectacular, especially for a local band. They sold out the Newport, which is amazing, considering that they are a local band. I would totally recommend seeing them live if you have a chance.

I mean, being down in the crowd was somewhat unenjoyable because of the fact that everyone was shoving each other forward, but that was easily avoided because my friend and I relocated to the balcony where we had a great view without being killed. Also, they could have done without having FOUR opening bands--but twenty one pilots was worth the wait. Hands down one of the best shows I've been to.

Last Saturday night Twenty One Pilots sold over 1700 tickets. It was an amazing show from a band who may be considered local for now, yet clearly demonstrated they will be known around the country before long!
