About

Twenty One Pilots are an alternative pop-rock duo from Columbus, Ohio made up of vocalist Tyler Joseph and drummer/percussionist Josh Dun. The pair began making music together in the late 2000s. Twenty One Pilots independently released two albums — Twenty One Pilots (2009) and Regional at Best (2011) — before inking a record deal with Fueled by Ramen. The act then dropped Vessel, their debut studio set on the label, in 2013. Twenty One Pilots achieved their true breakout two years later with their fourth album Blurryface (2015), which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and contained the Top 5 singles “Stressed Out” and “Ride.” After contributing the follow-up hit “Heathens” to Suicide Squad: The Album, the duo have continued releasing LPs including Trench (2018), Scaled and Icy (2021) and Clancy (2024). Their eighth studio album, Breach, is set to be released in September 2025.

  • Awesome Concert:)

This was my first time ever seeing Twenty One Pilots and I must say my mind was blown. Never have I seen a local band play with such enthusiasm and personality. I would definitely see them again. There was never a dull moment and it was awesome!

  • Twenty one pilots is truly inspiring.

This performance was beyond amazing. The people in the mosh pit area had just as much fun as the people watching the show from the balcony. Twenty one pilots is great at incorporating their fans into their music/show. I am so privileged to have been a part of this performance and would love to go back.

Twenty one pilots have such a unique and addicting sound! Their live shows are super amazing and they know how to get the crowd involved. It is worth over and beyond the $10 ticket price!

The band was very interactive with the audience, and at one point the main singer, Tyler, was IN the crowd. =)

  • Twenty one pilots are amazing

by mkappa on 11/21/11Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This show was amazing! The opening bands were alright, but 21 Pilots were the best. Their stage presence was spectacular, especially for a local band. They sold out the Newport, which is amazing, considering that they are a local band. I would totally recommend seeing them live if you have a chance.

  • Amazing.

  • Twenty One Pilots was AMAZING.

Okay. First off Twenty One Pilots SOLD OUT the Newport. Which was outstanding because they are a local band! I mean, being down in the crowd was somewhat unenjoyable because of the fact that everyone was shoving each other forward, but that was easily avoided because my friend and I relocated to the balcony where we had a great view without being killed. Also, they could have done without having FOUR opening bands--but twenty one pilots was worth the wait. Hands down one of the best shows I've been to.

Incredible environment and show for a local band, on the level of a top touring band

  • by julezie on 11/21/11Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

The before show was sooo long with 4 opening bands

  • Twenty One Pilots was unreal!

    by DJKelley242 on 11/21/11Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show! A MUST SEE. The most entertaining live show I've ever seen.

  • On another level

by AndyDew on 11/21/11Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

They sold the Newport in Columbus Ohio. Local bands don't do that. These guys are more entertaining than when I saw Coldplay.

  • by Anonymous on 11/21/11Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

We learned that it is not only unusual for a "local" band to sell out the Newport, it only happened one other time with O.A.R., and that was when the Newport only held 1300. Last Saturday night Twenty One Pilots sold over 1700 tickets. It was an amazing show from a band who may be considered local for now, yet clearly demonstrated they will be known around the country before long!
