Always a great experience at the BroadwY Playhouse in Chicago! Not a bad seat in the whole theater! And ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas is always a must when we are in town! A cute play with some of the best, and energetic performers! My family definitely recommends this play!
I took my grandchildren (two almost-4-year olds and their 6 year old sister) to see the play as a holiday gift. I chose this instead of Steadfast Tin Soldier at Lookingglass because I thought it would appeal to all three. Anything for the 4-year-olds would go over their heads. Their 6 year old sister, however, didn't fall in love with the heroines, and the situation wasn't well-defined. Next year I will go to Lookingglass where the staging was fabulous and the story a treasure by Hans Christian Andersen, the author of The Snow Queen, which became Frozen. Next year, write a good story, not gratuitous slapstick.
This was a great experience for children and adults! We all had an amazing time and lots of laughs!!
The play was not worth it, it could have been directed differently. The costume designer could have put more thought into the costumes especially for the mouse.
One hour long. Not to long to hold the kids attention. They wanted a picture after with the characters.
Kids liked it but we've seen better kid shows. Obnoxiously over the top :(
Cute play for kids. Probably best for kids 5-9. Fun characters, cute set. A little adult humor sprinkled in. All in all, an enjoyable hour as part of a downtown hookie day.
The show was below average at best. The story was very drawn out and it made little sense. There were a few funny parts but the rest was so slow. Save your money and find something else to do in the city for Christmas.
This is a great live performance to bring young children and grandparents to begining the Christmas season. Amos the mouse was a hit with my granddaughter who did not mind being sprayed with water. This performance will hold memories for a very long time.
