My mom and I really enjoyed the show Brought memories as my mom saw Johnny Cash live years ago in Montreal
Everything was great, the music, the energy, the songs and the singer’s generosity ! Not to forget the drummer’s performance, wow ! We recommended the show to all our friends and relatives .
He is like Johnny, sounds like Johnny. Very grateful to see the show
The talent seemed good from what I could hear. I think the person running the sound board was deaf or fell asleep. All I could hear were the drums and bass, sometimes the lead guitar. These three instruments almost completely overpowered the Shawn's vocals and guitar. The 3 female singers did not stand a chance against those drums. The room was not designed for a music concert. It was one of the giant meeting rooms that could be divided up with movable walls for visual and audio isolation. Bottom line is I don't think I would attend another concert at this venue.
Show was excellent! Shawn was entertaining and really did sound like Johnny Cash! He sang all of the popular songs you’d expect to hear. My favorite though was Hurt. We loved hearing the stories in between and behind the songs. The background singers were a huge bonus! Gorgeous harmonies!!! My only drawback (and it’s not a huge one) was the venue. I would much rather have seen him in a bar setting. It would’ve been more intimate. We were in a big banquet hall and unfortunately sitting by people who didn’t even clap. I know it would have to be a big bar to accommodate the number of people that were there. All in all-great show!!!
I heard about the Tribute to Johnny Cash while listening to my favorite radio station. Having just started started dating a wonderful man who happens to enjoy classic country as much as I do, I asked him if he’d like to go. Obviously we both enjoyed the show!
This was a great concert. Easy parking, all good seats. He had all Johnny's moves down, and sang his best songs. Had a voice very much like Cash's. If you have a chance to see this performance somewhere, go! We need more like this in Sugarloaf.
Wow pretty amazed how much he sang like Johnny Cash. the band was great as well as the back up group.
Best Tribute show I ever saw. My 5 year old son is a huge Johnny Cash fan. He leaned over to me during the show and said it was the best night of his life. Lol. I would see it again tomorrow if I could!
The show was seamless/professional. A must for Cash fans!
Tremendous, fun, great music & performance, transported through a tremendous legacy
Man in Black is an excellent show with Shawn Barker portraying Johnny Cash. Have seen him at least twice before and always entertaining. The Orleans showroom is an excellent venue for this type of show. Comfortable and spacious seating. 5 stars all around
This is the second time I have seen him, and both performances were wonderful. He makes you feel like you're actually watching Johnny Cash
Love this show. I've seen it twice and it's great!!
Good show, great value! Ran almost 2hrs. Shawn stayed in character as Johnny Cash the whole time. He told the story of Johnny, as Johnny.
great show. never got to see johnny cash in person, so this show was incredible for me. they did a wonderful job.
Shawn Barker does a great job as Johnny Cash. I would go to this concert again. He is very entertaining and sings great! I didn't like the rock song he sang. However, it was the same as all concerts I go to anymore --- the music is so loud you can't really read the words the person is singing. If I hadn't known the words to the songs I wouldn't have known what he was singing. This is one thing all concerts need to stop --- music too loud -- I come to hear the person singing -- and you just can't really hear them because of the loudness of the band!!!!!
Shawn Barker did a great job with his tribute show to Johnny Cash from the singing all the way down to the mannerisms. I brought my wife with me and she was a bit hesitant at first but she came away with a greater understanding of the star that Johnny Cash was during his career. The little excerpts about the history of Cash's life were a nice addition to the show. Shawn's band and back up singers were very complimentary of his skills as a performer. I couldn't wait for him to do "Jackson" which is one of my favorite duets Cash did with June Carter.
Very entertaining and a good value for the total cost. Would attend any similar type event in the future!
SEEN HIM MANY YEARS AGO IN WORTHINGTON MN AND HE WAS BETTER THEN, HE HAD DIFFERENT BAND MEMBERS AND HE HAD A BASS PLAYER NOT THE SAME HE IS COMING BACK TO WORTHINGTON IN APRIL AND I BOUGHT 18 TICKETS FOR MY FREINDS, I DON'T KNOW NOW IF I DID THE RIGHT THING IT IS THE BAND THAT WAS DIFFERENT
