I recently had the pleasure of attending An Evening With Trial By Fire: A Tribute to Journey, and I’m still riding the high from this unforgettable show! From start to finish, the entire experience was phenomenal. The venue was top-notch. Intimate enough to feel connected to the performance, yet spacious and well-managed with great acoustics. Everything from the sound quality to the lighting helped bring the music to life. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the energy in the room was electric! Now let’s talk about the band; Trial By Fire absolutely blew us away. They didn’t just play the hits, they lived them. Every member of the band was incredibly talented, tight, and totally committed to delivering a true Journey experience. And the lead singer? Spot on. His vocals were powerful and pitch-perfect, channeling Steve Perry’s iconic sound with authenticity and passion. The emotion and charisma he brought to each song especially classics like “Don’t Stop Believin'” and “Open Arms” had the entire crowd singing and swaying along. If you’re a fan of Journey or just love live music done right, don’t miss the chance to see Trial By Fire. They’re not just a tribute band. In my honest opinion they’re a tribute experience. I’ll definitely be back the next time they’re in town!

Trial by Fire is by far one of the best when it comes to the sounds of Steve Perry and Journey! Have only missed 1 show when they roll into town, and have personally met them all. Down to earth, blue collar guys that know how to rock and keep the music from Journey alive and VERY well! A DON'T MISS BAND!!!!!!

Very good show. Entertaining and kept us engaged the whole time. One of the shows you hate to see end at the end. Could not recommend enough for you to see this band.

We like to go out and listed to the music we loved when we were growing up. Journey is one of the bands that almost everybody knows the music. Trial By Fire did an excellent job of bring back the music from Journey. Nobody can match Steve Perry but the music was as good as you can get and vocals were very good, knowing Perry is in a league his own. The bands interaction with the attendees was very good also. They had everybody singing along. Looking forward to the next time they are in town.

I had a great experience! The band interacts with the audience and creates such a good connection. The guitarist was phenomenal. I can’t wait to see them again.

Trial by Fire put on an outstanding show at Elevation 27 in Virginia Beach May 17, 2025! They absolutely nailed the whole Journey musical experience and brought it to life with their top-notch musical skill and energy. The guitar player really blew me away with his talent. I also appreciated the positive messages the lead singer put out towards everyone, not in a preachy way either, but with sincerity and empathy.

This band I've seen at least 7 times. All the musicians in the band play like no ones business. They are all beautiful at their art. Ernie,lead singer, is a first class gentleman. He brings in the Steve Perry element that just puts you in front of Journey. I would not miss them, my wife Robin and I don't. We've even gone out of town for them. Don't miss out people.
